South Carolina state senator Larry Martin (R) has successfully pushed a bill through subcommittee that bans the possession of guns and ammunition not only for people who caused “bodily injury” via a domestic disturbance, but those who “could have” as well.

According to the text of Martin’s bill—S. 3—persons who commit the offense of “criminal domestic violence in the second degree” cannot “ship, transport, or receive a firearm or ammunition.” The offense of “criminal domestic violence in the second degree” applies not only to those who cause “moderate bodily injury to their household member” but those who create a situation where “moderate bodily injury to their household member could have resulted.”     Continue reading “SC Gun Ban Covers Domestic Disturbances Where Harm ‘Could Have’ Been Done”

The House of Representatives passed a Department of Homeland Security spending bill Wednesday that effectively defunds President Obama’s November 2014 executive amnesty program.

“The House defended its constitutional authority to make the law of the land in today’s vote to oppose President Obama’s unconstitutional executive actions on immigration,” Rep. Raul Labrador (R-ID) said after the vote. “I am hopeful the Senate will do its job and reassert the duty of Congress to make immigration law.”   Continue reading “House Passes Spending Bill Defunding Obama’s Amnesty”

It’s called Chameleon—a computer virus—but maybe it should be called FrankenVirus. You wouldn’t believe what it can do: literally move through the air, as in airborne—like a biological pathogen.

And like some Franken-creation, it came from a laboratory, cultivated at the University of Liverpool’s School of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering and Electronics.    Continue reading “Beware of scary WiFi Virus”

The United States aims to use new sanctions imposed on North Korea over the cyber attack on Sony Pictures to cut off the country’s remaining links to the international financial system, a senior U.S. Treasury official said on Tuesday.

Daniel Glaser, assistant secretary for terrorist financing at the U.S. Treasury Department, said past sanctions had already discouraged “hundreds” of overseas banks, including China’s major commercial banks, from doing business with North Korea.   Continue reading “U.S. takes aim at North Korea’s remaining financial links”

Hundreds of people have died in a major cold snap that has struck the Indian capital, New Delhi, as thousands of homeless people struggle to overcome the extreme cold without adequate shelter, Press TV reports.

The development came as northern India has been facing one of its coldest winters in decades, which has claimed lives of nearly 330 homeless folks in New Delhi alone.

Activists say most of the deaths have taken place in northern and central New Delhi while the figure continues to climb due to insufficient night shelters.   Continue reading “Hundreds of homeless die in New Delhi cold snap”

Extra Jewish security patrol cars and police were out in force in North-West London yesterday following the kosher store siege in Paris.

The cars look very similar to police vehicles and bear the security group’s name ‘Shomrim’ – Hebrew for ‘guards’ – along the sides and back.

The Orthodox organisation, which works closely with the Metropolitan Police, tweeted: ‘Following events in Paris we will have on extra patrols throughout NW London over Shabbos [ the Jewish sabbath].’    Continue reading “Jewish patrol cars out in force in London amid fears of copycat attack in wake of kosher store siege in Paris”

Prevent Disease – by DAVE MIHALOVIC

Only in the world of medical treatment do we find concepts such as poison heals cancer and radiation cures it. Any doctor with a reasonable understanding of cellular pathology will agree that not only does ionizing radiation cause secondary cancers, but the disease promoting effects can be absolutely devastating in the long-term well after treatment. In fact, more patients are dying of radiation-induced secondary cancers, which oncologists are often misdiagnosing as the primary cancer spreading.   Continue reading “Why Radiation Therapy Is Like Hitting Yourself In The Head With A Hammer To Heal A Headache”
