Hackers have gone back to the future by attempting to infect targets with booby-trapped subtitle files.

By crafting malicious subtitle files for films and TV programmes, which are then downloaded by viewers, attackers can hope to take complete control of any device running the vulnerable platforms. Hackers have pushed trojans under the guise of subtitle files as far back as 2003.

Fifty years ago, the wildly inspiring David Bamberger bought the worst land he could find with the aim of bringing it back to thriving life.

Although David Bamberger was born into poverty, he went on to become an immensely successful fast food tycoon before cashing in his chips and assuming the role of Totally Inspiring Steward Of The Land. It’s not the storyline one might expect from somebody who started a fried chicken empire – but it’s a beautiful story.   Continue reading “Meet the visionary who restored 5,500 acres of wrecked Texas land to paradise”

I just got back from a trip the USS Liberty Memorial Library in Grafton, Wisconsin.
To my dismay It has been confirmed thru the head librarian’s actual schedule book, that there is absolutely nothing planned for June 8th 2017 other than a book Discussion. (confirmed by the Library Director himself.)

The book: The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead. The librarian pointed me to the Director.   Continue reading “USS Liberty Memorial Library in Grafton, Wisconsin is doing nothing for the 50th Anniversary”

Oddity Central – by Spooky

Alcides Ravel, a farmer from Uruguay, bought his Ford F-350 in 1969, when he was 35 years old. Recently, the 83-year-old man finally put his faithful vehicle to eternal rest, after 48 years of service, by burying it on his farm.

For most people, trucks are mere tools to be used and sold when they outlive their usefulness, but that’s not the case of Alcides Ravel. Although his old truck had been broken down for over four years and mechanics had told him that it was beyond fixing, he couldn’t bring himself to sell it to the scrapyard. Instead, he kept it safe from the elements in a shed on his farm, near the town of Barker, until he was finally ready to part with it. Three weeks ago, he buried his faithful companion on his land, a “small gesture” in honor of nearly five decades of service.   Continue reading “Farmer Buries His Faithful Truck After 48 Years of Service”

Columbus, AL – A graphic video, released as part of a report issued by the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation, shows officer Allan Brown firing eleven shots into the vehicle, after engaging in a high speed chase, pausing only to reload and fire another ten shots into the vehicle as the teens can be heard begging for their lives.

Christian Redwine, 17, was killed in the shooting, and passengers Hunter Tillis and Hanna Wuenschel, both 19 at the time, suffered nonfatal gunshot wounds. It was the first volley, of the 21 total bullets, that struck Redwine in the head and heart that ended his young life, according to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.   Continue reading ““No, Stop! Legislators in Texas have been working toward passing a host of laws to reform the state’s Child Protective Services agency. New legislation has been crafted to improve the agency which has seen multiple dilemmas resulting in detrimental safety problems for children in the state. There have been several bills introduced this year aimed at improving the agency. One bill, in particular, House Bill 39, seeks in part to require medical exams to be performed more quickly on children who have been newly placed into the foster care system.   Continue reading “Your Child ‘Belongs to the State’: Lawmakers Claim the State Owns Your Children”

A new bill, HR 1313, has been introduced by North Carolina Congresswoman Virginia Foxx which is designed to give employers absolute power over the employee by mandating whatever they deem to be proper “heath prevention” measures. These measures would include submitting DNA records as well as mandatory vaccinations and other perceived “health preventive” measures designed for the “greater good” of the general public. The result of not complying with this new law of course would be losing your job.   Continue reading “Comply Or Lose Your Job- HR 1313 Would Force Vaccination and DNA Submission”
