VICTOR – A $5,000 reward is offered for any information in the theft of several hundred pounds of high explosives from an explosives bunker near Victor.

Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Ravalli Co. Sheriff Chris Hoffman are offering the reward.

Our institutions of higher education are finally teaching students things they’ll actually need in the real world. This summer, Michigan State University will once again offer a course called “Surviving the Coming Zombie Apocalypse: Disasters, Catastrophes, and Human Behavior.”

According to its Facebook page, the online course “uses the idea of a Zombie Apocalypse to attract attention to the important topic and research on ‘Catastrophes and Human Behavior.'” Students will “learn about the nature, scope and impact of catastrophic events,” and will be “assigned into Survivor Groups located throughout the United States and must face the challenges of living and surviving together during a catastrophic event.”   Continue reading “Michigan State Offers a Course on How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse”

Dozens of armed protesters gathered outside a San Antonio police station Sunday to let authorities know they aren’t happy that a man was tased and arrested after openly carrying his rifle while on a walk near his home a week ago, according to KSAT-TV in San Antonio.

UPDATED: Congressman Vance McAllister issued a statement Monday afternoon “asking for forgiveness” after The Ouachita Citizen first reported McAllister was captured in a video recording passionately kissing and embracing a member of his congressional staff.

“There’s no doubt I’ve fallen short and I’m asking for forgiveness,” McAllister said in a statement. “I’m asking for forgiveness from God, my wife, my kids, my staff, and my constituents who elected me to serve.
