bundy ranch cowboysSHTF Plan – by Brandon Smith, Alt Market

Not long ago, I felt compelled to address the idea of self defense as a moral imperative in an article titled “Violence In The Face Of Tyranny Is Often Necessary.” My intention was to perhaps undo some of the propaganda conditioning that Americans have suffered over the decades that has taught them that “all” forms of violent action are “immoral”, including the defense of one’s person, one’s property, and one’s freedom.

The recent uprising at Bundy Ranch in Bunkerville, Nev., confirmed my predictions that many Americans are tired of playing by rules chartered by the establishment and are ready to take measures outside of the boundaries set by the system. The reality is that change will never come without consequence and cost, and when faced with an entrenched tyranny, if the citizenry cannot present the threat of physical consequence to their oppressors, the oppressors have no motivation to relinquish power.   Continue reading “Organized Community Defense Is America’s Last Hope”

In recent articles, I stated it’s a mistake to jump to a conclusion about what’s really making doctors and nurses sick in African Ebola clinics. (see here and here).

Here’s a missing factor in understanding what is happening to some of those doctors and nurses.

I’m not talking about Ebola. I’m talking about physiological shock, huge and sudden dehydration, and more.   Continue reading “Is this really why Ebola health workers are collapsing?”

The ailing skipper of a San Diego-based Navy cruiser retreated to his cabin for several weeks in the middle of a recent deployment, leaving the crew to largely fend for itself.

A Navy investigation made public this week reveals that the Cowpens was in considerable disarray during a recent solo deployment that included a near-brush with a Chinese warship and providing disaster relief to the typhoon-rocked Philippines.   Continue reading “Report: Navy skipper abdicated command”

Ebola Vaccine - Public DomainThe American Dream – by Michael Snyder

As the Ebola death toll rises and as images of bodies being abandoned in the streets of Liberiaare broadcast around the globe, there has been a growing outcry for the scientific community to “do something” about this deadly virus.  And as luck would have it, there is an “experimental Ebola vaccine” that is ready to be tested on humans next month.  If Ebola starts to spread outside of Africa, and especially if it starts spreading inside the United States, people will be absolutely clamoring to get this vaccine.  But will it be safe?  And there will certainly be millions of people that do not want to take this vaccine under any circumstances.  If the outbreak gets bad enough, will it be made mandatory at some point?  If they do make it mandatory for all Americans to take an Ebola vaccine, what will you do?    Continue reading “What Will You Do If They Make It Mandatory For All Americans To Take An Ebola Vaccine?”

Deaths from West Africa’s Ebola outbreak, the deadliest outbreak in history, continue to rise as more people become infected everyday – so what are countries able to do about it?

Well, starting in West Africa – they’re closing borders. According to Guinéenews, the afflicted nation announced Saturday its closing its borders with Sierra Leone and Liberia in an attempt to stymie the influx of infected people in and out of the country.

Al Jazeera quotes the country’s health minister as saying: “We have provisionally closed the frontier between Guinea and Sierra Leone because of all the news that we have received from there recently.”

Bruce RaunerPR Watch – by Ruth Conniff

If you are not in the Chicago media market, you might not know much about Bruce Rauner, the Mitt Romney-like candidate for governor in Illinois, who is running ahead in the polls against Democratic Governor Pat Quinn.

If Rauner wins, Illinois will have a lot more in common with its neighbor, Wisconsin. Politically, Rauner resembles union-basher and school privatizer Scott Walker. Only Rauner is much, much richer.

In an interview with the Chicago Sun Times, Rauner talked about his career at GTCR, the Chicago-based private equity firm he founded.    Continue reading “Tax Dodger Running for Governor in Illinois”

The United States’ renewed airstrikes in Iraq will likely be a “long term project,” President Barack Obama told reporters on Saturday.

In remarks made following his weekly address before leaving for a two-week vacation on Martha’s Vineyard, the President said, “I don’t think we’re going to solve this problem in weeks,” adding, “This is going to be a long-term project.”

The comments came one day after the Pentagon confirmed that the U.S. warplanes had dropped bombs on Iraq, targeting fighters affiliated with the Islamic State (IS) rebel group. According to reports, the U.S. military launched three rounds of airstrikes throughout the day on Friday.    Continue reading “Obama: U.S. strikes on Iraq will be ‘long-term project’”

A Detroit police officer was injured today after a man drove off during a traffic stop, dragging the officer with the car.

Detroit Police Chief James Craig said the officer, “fearing for his life,” fired one shot from his gun.

The driver, who hit a light pole and flipped the car on Warren, died, but what caused his death is unclear, Craig said. He said it’s unclear whether the man was hit by the gunshot or if he succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident.
