DELAWARE WATER GAP, Pa. (AP) — Julie Martin spots an immature hemlock tree and crawls underneath it. Though she’s only a few feet away from the trail, Martin remains motionless – and invisible.

The point of this exercise? To show how very easy it is to hide in the forest.

Ambush suspect Eric Frein has managed to elude hundreds of law enforcement officials looking for him 20 miles away in the thick woods of northeastern Pennsylvania, taking advantage of the difficult terrain to keep them at bay two weeks after the late-night shooting outside a rural barracks that killed one trooper and injured another.   Continue reading “Ambush suspect manhunt focused on abandoned hotel”

U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested 15 illegal immigrants early Friday morning after a panga boat washed ashore in the Mission Beach area.

The 35-foot vessel was spotted on the ocean moving north, directly west of Belmont Park, by agents from the Imperial Beach Station at around 3:45 a.m., U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said.

Border Patrol agents in a boat and helicopter from the CBP Office of Air and Marine were called to the location. When the panga arrived on shore around 4 a.m., agents were waiting to take the passengers into custody.   Continue reading “15 Arrested After Panga Washes Ashore”

Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson on Thursday issued a video apology to the family of Michael Brown, the unarmed teenager who was killed by Officer Darren Wilson on August 9, while continuing to ignore residents’ repeated calls for his resignation.

Jackson also walked briefly on Thursday night with protesters who have been marching against police brutality—and demanding Wilson’s arrest—for more than six weeks. Despite his presence at the demonstration, however, several protesters were arrested in the early hours of Friday morning. Video footage of the march shows officers violently placing at least one woman in custody who had been marching side by side with Jackson before he was led away by a police escort. FBI officials are investigating a beheading at an Oklahoma food distribution center after co-workers said the suspect tried to convert them to Islam after his recent conversion.

The alleged suspect, Alton Nolen, 30, was recently fired from Vaughan Foods in Moore prior to Thursday’s attack. Moore Police Department Sgt. Jeremy Lewis told KFOR that Nolen drove to the front of the business and struck a vehicle before walking inside. With news of certain restaurants not allowing customers to bring their guns into restaurants (*cough, cough Panera*), it is always a pleasant surprise when businesses do just the opposite. As of a couple of weeks ago, Bergeron’s Restaurant in Port Allen, Louisiana is now offering a 10% discount to customers who carry a gun. Owner Kevin Cox said he began the discount by thanking law enforcement for coming into the restaurant and then he had the idea.   Continue reading “Local Louisiana Restaurant Offers Discount for Carrying a Gun”

Earlier today we reported that a Las Vegas woman shot a man who had been stalking her once in the chest as he tried to break into her apartment.

We now have a lot more insight than was provided by the police or local media. The woman in this case actually posted about her stalker on reddit 2 days ago, desperate about what to do about the stalker who was ruining her life (this is only an excerpt of the terror this woman endured):   Continue reading “Woman Who Shot Stalker in the Chest Posts Chilling Account Online – “I Shot My Stalker””

Famed chef Emeril Lagasse says that it’s becoming all but impossible to be a successful restaurateur in America today. The government just gets in the way too much. Lagasse specifically singled out the current president’s policies.

“It’s becoming a very challenging industry to become a very successful average restaurateur,” continued Lagasse. “I can’t charge $300 a person in my restaurant or I would not be in business. Am I using any different ingredients? Not really. Am I using any caliber of service staff? I don’t think so. I think our service is as good or better than most places.” Continue reading “Famed Chef Emeril Lagasse Says Obama May Drive Him Broke”

The U.S. government may have to pay big bucks to settle an unbelievable case involving an anchor baby—traveling from Guatemala with her illegal immigrant grandfather—who wasn’t allowed into the country to be reunited with her illegal alien parents.

It sounds like a bad joke, but it’s a real-life case pending in federal court and a George W. Bush-appointed judge appears to sympathize with the illegal immigrants. In a ruling issued this month, Judge Kiyo Matsumoto in the Eastern District of New York refused to dismiss the case against the government and accused U.S. Homeland Security agents of “negligence and laziness” for essentially doing their job.      Continue reading “Illegal Aliens Sue U.S. for Returning Child to Guatemala”

Barely a year removed from the devastation of the 2008 financial crisis, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York faced a crossroads. Congress had set its sights on reform. The biggest banks in the nation had shown that their failure could threaten the entire financial system. Lawmakers wanted new safeguards.

The Federal Reserve, and, by dint of its location off Wall Street, the New York Fed, was the logical choice to head the effort. Except it had failed miserably in catching the meltdown.   Continue reading “Inside the New York Fed: Secret Recordings and a Culture Clash”

Berlin (AFP) – Russia warned Europe on Friday that it may cut off gas supplies because some countries have been re-exporting supplies to Ukraine to help Kiev through its latest energy war with Moscow.

The blunt threat came as energy chiefs gathered in Berlin for EU-mediated talks aimed at halting a Russian gas supply freeze to Ukraine that could leave parts of the war-scarred nation without heat this winter.   Continue reading “Russia warns Europe of gas cuts over Ukraine”

"ISIL crisis" entices ZionistsPress TV – by Kevin Barrett

Rahm Emanuel, President Obama’s first Chief of Staff – who also served as Obama’s Israeli Mossad handler – famously said: “You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”

Individuals, groups, whole industries, even nations sometimes take advantage of crises and catastrophes. Big bankers, for example, love war because it forces governments to borrow vast sums of money at compound interest. Arms manufacturers also make huge profits. And the big government always gets bigger during wartime as it confiscates people’s wealth and scales back their rights.   Continue reading ““ISIL crisis” plays right into Zionists hands”

With this ruling, the First Amendment and the Fourth Amendment mean very little anymore. Of course, the PATRIOT Act has long come under criticism for violating the Fourth Amendment in countless ways, and multiple criticisms have been leveled at the secret courts, surveillance powers, and investigatory powers—not to mention drone programs and the secret “kill list” erected upon them. True patriots and lovers of freedom everywhere know that once constitutional freedoms are compromised, it is only a matter of time before they are further eroded and eventually eradicated. Now that maxim is manifested in legal precedent.   Continue reading “Judge: PATRIOT Act trumps First Amendment protected speech of innocent citizens”
