The White House pushed back against the governors of New York, New Jersey, Illinois and other states that instituted procedures to forcibly quarantine medical workers returning from West Africa, deepening an emotional debate brought on by recent Ebola cases in the U.S.

Former homeland security secretary Janet Napolitano is supporting executive action by President Obama to change immigration policy if Congress fails to pass a broad overhaul, citing what she calls her successful 2012 push to delay deportations of many younger immigrants.

WATERBURY, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) — A naked man is accused of raping a pit bull in his neighbor’s yard.

Alice Woodruff told WTNH-TV that she confronted her neighbor at gunpoint while he was performing sex acts on her rescue pit bull that is kept on an 800-pound tow chain in her backyard.

“I thought my dog had killed somebody because I saw a man underneath her,” Woodruff explained to WTNH. “I started to scream. WASHINGTON (AP) — The Pentagon says dozens of Army soldiers and their two-star general are being isolated at their base in Vicenza, Italy, as they return after serving in West Africa to help with the Ebola fight.

Maj. Gen. Darryl A. Williams, the commander who led the U.S. response in Liberia, returned to Italy with 11 staff. They will be restricted in an isolated location and will not be allowed to go to their homes for 21 days. LUBBOCK, Texas — At least 13 men from Africa with terrorist-related records illegally entered Canada from the U.S. since 2010, according to a leaked Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Intelligence Information Report exclusively obtained by Breitbart Texas. The data pertains only to one small region of the vast U.S.-Canadian border. The report reveals that as of September 9, 2014, there have been 155 encounters in the area “involving 344 ethnic Somalis, 21 ethnic Ethiopians, five ethnic Kenyans, two ethnic Djiboutians, two ethnic Nigerians, and one ethnic Sudanese and Congolese subjects who have attempted or succeeded in entering Canada illegally near the Pembina, ND Port of Entry (POE) since June 2010. HOUSTON, Texas — A Houston-based sex offender was recently arrested for allegedly raping two girls — ages 14 and 2 — and infecting the with HIV.

33-year-old David Wilson admitted to police that he had raped the 14-year-old victim numerous times, Reuters reported. BROWNSVILLE, Texas — A bomb threat called in to Mexican authorities caused the temporary halting of traffic at the international bridge that connects the Texas border city of Brownsville with Mexico.

Carlo Lavini pointed out this US Marines helicopter. It seems that marines can be pretty sneaky when it comes to making pranks. Did you notice anything strange in the first photo of a helicopter? Check the shapes that are part of the camouflage. Get it now? I believe there are no rules that define how the camouflage shapes should look like, as long as they are in proper color, and fill their purpose. Other than that, it should be fine… About camouflage, remember that human chameleons? It should be easy to make similar uniforms, the only problem is then you couldn’t move much, and everyone should look at you from only one spot. At least one California town has gone dry, and many are expected to follow soon. East Porterville, in Tulare County is now without water, as the wells that feed it have dried up. Residents, according to Yahoo! News, now have to drive to the local fire station to get water to drink, bathe, and flush the toilet. And ironically, the town is near what was once the largest freshwater lake in California.

Tulare County, which relies heavily on the agricultural industry, is parched. The some 500 wells that feed its residents and farmers have gone dry. The United States spends on space programs – both civilian and defense-related – more than every other country combined, even though the NASA budget, which is a part of the program, has not grown in the recent years.

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Luis Enrique Monroy-Bracamonte was living in the United States illegally. He had been convicted in Arizona for selling drugs and he had been deported to Mexico twice.

His background would have almost certainly flagged him to be expelled from the country again. EDISON  — Four Edison police officers have been indicted on charges that they conspired to retaliate against an officer from another department because he arrested one of the Edison officer’s relatives for drunken driving.

The indictment recently handed up by a Middlesex County grand jury alleges that in early 2012, the four Edison officers improperly accessed information about a North Brunswick officer and performed surveillance on him and his travel habits.
