CX-1 supersonic anti-ship cruise missile at the Zhuhai Airshow in China.Defense News – by WENDELL MINNICK

TAIPEI — China’s new CX-1 supersonic anti-ship cruise missile is ready for export to America’s friends and foes alike, with potential markets including Iran, Pakistan and African and South American countries.

On display at the recent Airshow China in Zhuhai, the missile resembles India’s BrahMos cruise missile with a large intake in the nose, referred to as the “axial symmetrical inlet” in the brochure. However, that appears to be the only similarity, according to Chinese-language media outlets, which mention differences in wing, guidance vanes and jet vanes of the two missiles.   Continue reading “China’s CX-1 Missile Now Exportable”

Grad rockets fired indiscriminately into populated areas by Kiev regime – a war crime NATO has condemned before, but only when politically convenient.

“The Grad rocket cannot be targeted, so shooting it into a town full of civilians, with no specific military objective, violates the laws of war.” These words were found in a 2011 Human Rights Watch (HRW) document titled, “Libya: Rocket Attacks on Western Mountain Towns – Grads Striking Civilian Areas,” one of many reports ceaselessly cited by the United Nations and in turn, NATO as part of justifying a military intervention in the North African nation.   Continue reading “Human Rights Ignored Amid NATO’s War in Ukraine”

Larry McQuilliams had “let me die” written in marker across his chest when he fired more than 100 rounds in downtown Austin early Friday morning.

McQuilliams, who Austin Police officials called a “homegrown American extremist” with ties to a Christian identity hate group, was shot dead on Friday by a police officer outside the department’s headquarters.

Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo told reporters on Monday that officers who searched the gunman’s home found a map with 34 targets, including two churches. McQuilliams had fired bullets into Austin police headquarters, a federal courthouse and the Mexican consulate in downtown Austin on Friday. He also tried to set the Mexican consulate building on fire.   Continue reading “Police: Austin shooter was a ‘homegrown American extremist’”

Retail Apocalypse - Photo by Justin CozartThe Economic Collapse – by Michael Snyder

Retail sales during the four day Thanksgiving weekend were down a whopping 11 percent from last year.  This is a “make or break” time of the year for many retailers, and if things don’t turn around during the coming weeks we could see a tsunami of store closings in January and February.  As you read this article, there is already more than a billion square feet of retail space sitting empty in the United States.  Many have described the ongoing collapse of the retail industry as an “apocalypse”, and this apocalypse appears to be accelerating.  Yes, the shift to online retailers is a significant factor, but as you will see below even online retailers struggled over the holiday weekend.  The sad truth of the matter is that U.S. consumers are tapped out and are drowning in debt at this point, so they simply do not have as much money to spend as they once did.   Continue reading “The Retail Apocalypse Accelerates: Collapsing Holiday Sales Are A Signal That A Recession Is Coming”

The 39-year-old woman who was the first volunteer in NIH's experimental Ebola vaccine test , via NIHBethesda Now – by Aaron Kraut

Researchers at the NIH campus in Bethesda say an experimental vaccine to prevent the Ebola virus was well-tolerated and produced immune system responses in the 20 adults part of the agency’s first clinical trial.

“Based on these positive results from the first human trial of this candidate vaccine, we are continuing our accelerated plan for larger trials to determine if the vaccine is efficacious in preventing Ebola infection,” said Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of NIH’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. “The unprecedented scale of the current Ebola outbreak in West Africa has intensified efforts to develop safe and effective vaccines, which may play a role in bringing this epidemic to an end and undoubtedly will be critically important in preventing future large outbreaks.”   Continue reading “Obama to congratulate NIH on experimental Ebola vaccine tomorrow”

Could it be? An artist's image of the so-called Aurora project. Enthusiasts say one possible power source is a 'pulse detonation engine', whose sound is said to resemble that caught on an audio clip last night (below)Daily Mail – by DAN BLOOM and STEPHANIE LINNING

An expert claims the loud bangs which baffled Britons last night sounded like a type of experimental jet engine – which conspiracy theorists enjoy linking to a rumoured spy plane.

Dr Bhupendra Khandelwal added his comparison to a debate which began when hundreds of Twitter users from Aberdeen to Devon – and even New York – reported ‘explosions’ which shook windows and disturbed sleeping children at around 10pm.   Continue reading “Mysterious bangs heard all over Britain and in New York”

Over the weekend we wrote of the heart-warming story of irregular militias coming together to provide private security for Ferguson businesses that survived the first night of arson and looting that followed the grand jury’s decision not to indict police officer Darren Wilson for shooting robbery suspect Michael Brown in self-defense.

The St. Louis County Police have now incredibly threatened these volunteers with arrest for keeping the city safe:

Equipped with militia-style clothing and firearms, the Oath Keepers had been offering free security for businesses at risk of looting and arson in Ferguson. Continue reading “Government Threatens Police Academy Instructor, Other Volunteers With Arrest For Protecting Ferguson Businesses”

With fallout from Ferguson, Missouri, in the spotlight, President Obama announced new action today aimed at boosting accountability of local law enforcement and improving policing policies in minority communities. Here are the top four pieces of the plan:

1. 50,000 Police Body Cameras

Obama will ask Congress for $75 million over three years to subsidize the purchase of up to 50,000 body-worn cameras for local police, according to the White House. The lapel-mounted devices, which record police officers on the job, have won praise from both civil rights advocates and local police union officials who want better documentation of police conduct and that of those they interact with. White House officials believe the cameras would also help improve trust between communities and their police forces. The program is one piece of a $263 million budget request that also includes money for training of law enforcement officers and more resources to reform police departments, administration officials said.   Continue reading “Obama’s 4-Point Plan for Police Post-Ferguson”

More than two dozen states, including California, have called for a new constitutional convention to potentially rewrite major portions of the United States’ founding document. Just 34 states are requiredto be on board before this convention — which does not require the consent of Congress — could convene.

Though various political groups have pushed for a new constitutional convention in the past, Bloomberg reports that the bulk of the current momentum comes from fiscal conservatives who are interested in amending the federal government’s fiscal power. However, were such a convention called, constitutional experts say it would not be feasible to limit the topic under consideration to any one issue.   Continue reading “More states are pushing for a convention to rewrite the constitution”

St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter Joel Currier’s article about a Bosnian immigrant being murdered by hammer-wielding teenagers fails to mention the possibility that at least some of the teens were black until deep into the article. Conversely, a video shot by a resident of South St. Louis’ Bevo Mill neighborhood reveals heretofore-unpublished details about what happened near the intersection of Gravois Avenue and Itaska Street before the attack that left Zemir Begic, 32, dead.   Continue reading “Hammers Attack Video From South St Louis”

As the Ferguson protests continue around the country, more and more radical groups are joining the ranks.

CBS reports that Palestinian and Communist groups have joined the protests in Portland, Oregon:

“Police in Portland used pepper spray and arrested seven people after hundreds of demonstrators roamed the city and blocked traffic Tuesday night while protesting a grand jury decision not to indict a Missouri police officer in the killing of an 18-year-old. Recent court cases on Kauai and the Big Island have supported Dow and Monsanto, against the wishes of local voters. The outcome: these companies will be permitted to continue their poisonous experiments with GMOs and pesticides. A similar case is pending in Maui County. The same Judge who screwed Kauai and the Big Island is planning to screw Maui.

Therefore, I propose new text for Hawaii Tourism Authority promotions:   Continue reading “Once-in-a-lifetime Hawaii vacation amidst the pesticides”

An enterprising Chinese chicken farmer has built an orange submarine powered by five car batteries, Agence France-Presse reports. 44-year-old Tan Yong bolted together his two-tonne craft, christened the “Happy Lamb” after a popular cartoon character, at a cost of around $5,000 and has steered it down to depths of 26 feet. “I never studied this in school, I’ve based everything on my imagination,” he said. “I can stay underwater for 45 minutes.”   Continue reading “Chinese Farmer Launches Homemade Submarine”
