(BALTIMORE)  More than 700 people have filed a billion-dollar lawsuit against Johns Hopkins Hospital and University.

The lawsuit alleges that Hopkins was the driving force behind human experiments in Guatemala in the 1940s.

NATO’s top military commander General Philip Breedlove has said an armoured vehicles convoy travelling by road in the Czech Republic sent a message of reassurance. Speaking in Romania, Breedlove said he and NATO are ready to defend against Russian belligerence.

Last Wednesday, WikiLeaks once again broke the secrecy surrounding the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), releasing the draft text of the investment chapter of the Pacific Rim Treaty. WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange issued a dire warning about the agreement:

“The TPP has developed in secret an unaccountable supranational court for multinationals to sue states. This system is a challenge to parliamentary and judicial sovereignty. For a planned county communications system called LA-RICS, new cell towers are being installed at fire stations across Los Angeles County. They are being installed overnight without any notice to residents. All environmental regulations and required studies have been pushed aside and ignored.

Firemen sleep and reside at firehouses for days at a time, with a cell tower just a few feet away. The fireman’s union opposes this and many firefighters and citizens showed up at a recent Los Angeles County supervisor’s meeting to protest. The firefighters are asking for public support. Under the new initiative the administration has rebranded the official name it originally assigned to the droves of illegal immigrant minors who continue sneaking into the U.S. They’re no longer known as Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC), a term that evidently was offensive and not politically correct enough for the powerful open borders movement. MEXICO CITY –  A fire at a shallow-water oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico has killed four workers, injured 16 and forced the evacuation of 300, Mexico’s state-owned oil company said Wednesday.

There is growing evidence that the Saudi Arabian-led military coalition is failing to take precautions to prevent civilian deaths amid ongoing airstrikes on sites around Yemen, Amnesty International said, as it confirmed that at least six civilians, including four children, were among 14 people who burned to death in further strikes early this morning.

The attacks, carried out at around 2 AM in Ibb governorate, were apparently targeting a Huthi checkpoint as well as fuel supplies along the road between Yareem and Dhammar. The dead included four children and two women, as well as eight men, but it is unknown if any of those were fighters. Reykjavik (AFP) – Iceland’s government said Tuesday it would consider a revolutionary monetary proposal removing the power of commercial banks to create money and handing it to the central bank.
