Zero Hedge – by Tyler Durden

There is blood on the streets wherever you look in Brazil today, but probably of most interest to the hundreds of US asset managers (the ones managing your mutual funds) is what happens to Petrobras as it remains so widely held. As we noted below, bond prices are collapsing and default risk is soaring, and with the nation’s currency collapsing amid the lower-for-longer oil prices, $90 billion of dollar-denominated debt could soon potentially be too burdensome for the company to repay.   Continue reading “Petrobras Default Looms Under $90B Dollar-Denominated Debt”

Chesterton, IN — In January of 2012, Dana Reiner’s water broke, so her husband James began excitedly driving to the hospital. The couple was almost there when a police cruiser got behind them with his lights on to pull them over.

Instead of pulling over, however, James Reiner called 9-1-1 to alert dispatch to the fact that his wife was about to give birth. He turned on his flashing lights and continued to drive.   Continue reading “Cops Hold Couple at Gunpoint, Nearly Kill them & Unborn Child for Driving to Hospital to Give Birth”

* Before anything else, I need to clarify my meaning: There are “activists” whom I respect and support. (Ernie and Donna Hancock leap to mind, as do several Bitcoin “activists.”) I divide these people from the activism of my title, because these people act, encourage, and teach directly, not through third parties.   Continue reading “Why I’m Opposed to Activism*”

The Organic Prepper

When it hits the fan…I mean REALLY hits the fan in a permanent kind of way, the most likely outcome is death.

That’s not pretty, and I’m well aware of it. I always try to be positive and optimistic, because for me, preparedness is the ultimate act of optimism, but sometimes we have to look at the numbers and face some things that are pretty terrifying. The first reality check is that some research says that only 3 million Americans are preppers.  That means that 315 million Americans are notpreppers. Some experts predict that within 30 days of the power going out, 50% of Americans will be dead. Within a year, an astounding 90% of the population will be dead.   Continue reading “Here’s How You’ll Die When the SHTF (and How to Prevent Your Untimely Demise)”

SEATTLE (AP) — Prosecutors told jurors Tuesday that the father of the teenager who shot and killed four classmates and himself repeatedly lied on forms to illegally buy firearms. But the father’s lawyer countered the man underwent multiple background checks and was never told he was barred from having guns.

Raymond Fryberg is charged with illegally owning the handgun his son, Jaylen, used last year in the Marysville-Pilchuck High School shootings. Prosecutors say Fryberg was the subject of a 2002 domestic-violence protection order, making it illegal for him to have that handgun and the nine rifles found in his possession.   Continue reading “Defense: Shooter’s dad was never told he couldn’t have guns”

KENTWOOD, Mich. (AP) — A Michigan woman who won a $1 million lottery prize didn’t know about it for months, after leaving the ticket in a pile of mail.

Lottery officials say Linda Tuttle of Kentwood stepped forward Tuesday with a winning ticket from the May 26 Mega Millions drawing. Tuttle told officials she recently found the ticket at home among some old mail. She didn’t search until a clerk at a local store mentioned that it had sold a $1 million winner in May.   Continue reading “$1 million lottery ticket found among woman’s old mail”

This is Vicki Gardner, the only survivor of the Virginia reporter shooting.

This person was reportedly shot in the back at point blank range with a hollow point bullet and walked herself to the ambulance, then spent two weeks in the hospital having surgery and now she’s sitting with there with Greta, unable to remember even major details about what actually happened even though she claims she watched the video of what happened.   Continue reading “Virginia Shooting Hoax? Rather than refurbish and sell duty weapons and generate additional revenue, Honolulu Police opted to destroy the Smith & Wesson 9MM firearms the department used in the past. Approximately 2,300 S&W were turned in, as the department issued new Glock 17 (9MM) handguns to the police force.

In other areas in our great country, police departments will auction off guns in these instances as a chance to raise much needed revenue. However, it was felt that there was no need to have the turned in guns wind up in the hands of the general populace, where they might possibly be used in the commission of a crime.   Continue reading “It’s Shameful What This State Did With 2,300 S&W 9MM Handguns”

Hillary Clinton faces “mounting health issues” — and she’s secretly worried that she’s too sick to run for president, according to a new book.

The 67-year-old Democratic front-runner has been “frequently plagued” by “blinding headaches” and a series of strokes over the course of the campaign which have left her second-guessing her chances of winning in 2016, says the upcoming book “Unlikeable — The Problem with Hillary.”   Continue reading “Hillary is dealing with mounting health issues, new book claims”

There is an issue that has been troubling me lately, which I feel compelled to address. It isn’t often that I’ve had this urge to write, and it had never happened before coming to FTT. I knew simply by reading the comments alone that I was dealing with a wide awake and very intelligent group of individuals, which was what inspired me to write in the first place.

The issue I’m referring to is the difference between the Hebrews and the jews. I have posted some of the following information in dozens of comments over the past months, but not everyone reads all the articles (myself included), so this is the   best option available to me. I will be quoting from a book that I have, and will also give as many references as I can to other books with pertinent information.   Continue reading “Hebrews & Jews… Is there a difference?”

The Pentagon said Tuesday that it was reviewing what it called an “unsafe” intercept of an Air Force reconnaissance plane by at least one Chinese jet over the Yellow Sea last week.

Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook said that the American RC-135 was intercepted by a Chinese fighter approximately 80 miles east of northeastern China’s Shandong Peninsula on Sept. 15. Cook said there was no indication that the planes came close to colliding, but the crew of the American plane reported that one of the Chinese jet’s maneuvers appeared to be unsafe.    Continue reading “Chinese fighter jet makes unsafe intercept of Air Force plane over Yellow Sea, Pentagon says”
