Bearing Arms – by Bob Owens

There’s stunning security camera footage of a barbershop robbery in South Carolina that was thwarted by not one, but two concealed carriers who took on a pair of armed robbers and decisively won.

A 35-year-old New Jersey man has been identified as the armed robbery suspect who was shot and killed in a shootout during a botched robbery attempt at a Fort Jackson Boulevard barbershop.

Mormon Arizona rancher LaVoy Finicum was killed on the night of January 26 as the militia standoff near Burns, Oregon, came to a head. Famously, Finicum, 55, had told the media on January 6 that he would choose death over surrender. His death was confirmed by Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore, who wrote on Twitter:   Continue reading “LaVoy Finicum Dead: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know”

One Native American tribe’s descent from a proud heritage into lawlessness and greed has gone unchecked for decades.

Until now.

In 2012, Randy Davis just wanted to obtain a box of his family’s papers from his local tribal headquarters. Little did he know his questions would bring down retaliation that included his daughter being kidnapped by CPS, theft, false imprisonment, uncounted civil rights violations, his name smeared, his livelihood lost, and his life forever changed. See our original story about Randy Davis here:   Continue reading “North Carolina Whistle-blower Imprisoned, Daughter Kidnapped by CPS – Are Their Lives Now in Danger?”

“They’re killing me! — I can’t breathe — I’m losing my air.”

Oakland, CA — That now-familiar refrain represents the last spoken words by 51-year-old Oakland resident Hernan Jaramillo, an emotionally troubled man as his breath and life were crushed out of him by several police officers who had responded to his sister’s 911 call about a suspected intruder. Jaramillo was not a suspect and was supposedly not under arrest at the time of his death at the hands — and beneath the knees — of the officers. Just days ago the Oakland City Council hit up taxpayers to fund a $450,000 settlement in a lawsuit brought by the family of the victim.   Continue reading ““They’re killing me!” Unbearable Body Cam Shows Cops Suffocate Innocent & Cuffed Man to Death”

In October 2008, as the repercussions of the financial crisis were starting to ripple through the global economy, I noticed a press release from Swedish truckmaker Volvo saying that its European order book had fallen by more than 99 percent between the third quarters of 2007 and 2008 — to just 155 from 41,970. That prompted me to study various other real-world activity measures ranging from shipping to air freight, and to conclude that “the news is all bad and getting worse, fast.” The same exercise today, I’m afraid to say, leads me to a similar conclusion about the growth outlook.   Continue reading “The Shipping News Says the World Economy Is Toast”

Los Angeles, CA – Exposing the double standard between police and civilians, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday that no criminal charges will be filed against the eight LAPD officers responsible for nearly killing an innocent woman and her daughter. Although the cops ambushed the unarmed women without warning and fired over 100 bullets without provocation, the district attorney justified the case of mistaken identity due to the fact that the officers involved were afraid and incompetent.   Continue reading “No Charges for Cops Who ‘Accidentally’ Fired 107 Bullets at an Innocent Mom and Daughter”

Behind the scenes, the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign is building a foreign policy and national security advisory structure that is meant to help her win the presidency. And among this large group, the jockeying for jobs in her potential administration is already well underway.

Team Hillary is in the process of setting up formal advisory teams and working groups divided into regional and thematic subjects, similar to the structure of the National Security Council, several participants in the project told me. Unlike in 2008, when Clinton and Barack Obama competed for advisers, this time around all the Democratic foreign-policy types are flocking to her team because Clinton is the only game in town.    Continue reading “Clinton Quietly Building Her Own National Security Council”

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — As families of the lost Challenger astronauts gather with NASA to mark the space shuttle accident’s 30th anniversary, there’s a new voice to address the crowd.

June Scobee Rodgers — widow of Challenger commander Dick Scobee and longtime spokeswoman for the group — is passing the torch to daughter Kathie Scobee Fulgham. Fulgham — not Rodgers — will be on the stage for Thursday morning’s ceremony at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. And making a rare appearance in the audience will be schoolteacher Christa McAuliffe’s son, Scott, with his own family.   Continue reading “30 years since Challenger: New voice at astronauts’ memorial”

WEB Notes: This has always been an important topic. The COMEX is simply the “Commodity Exchange”. Gold is traded on the COMEX via paper contracts. There have always been far more paper ounces of gold than physical ounces of gold to back up those paper contracts. Just like our paper currency, paper gold simply becomes worthless at that point. This article points out there are 40,000,000 ounces of paper gold in circulation while there are only 74,000 ounces of physical gold. If those who hold paper gold called their contract and requested physical gold in exchange there would never be enough. Can you imagine what would happen that day… With that said, if you are able, keep a little silver and/or gold around for a rainy day. It might come in handy during the Tribulation. All we can do is prepare to the best of our ability, stand strong in the Lord and let Him do the rest.
