It’s been 15 years since the September 11, 2001 attacks, but a commercial from a San Antonio mattress store may prove it’s still “too soon.” As part of its “Twin Towers sale,” Miracle Mattress offered to sell any sized mattress for the price of a twin.
A commercial showing Miracle Mattress manager Cherise Bonanno standing in front of two other employees in front of stacks of mattresses relies heavily on Twin Tower references. SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – Seven current and former San Francisco Bay Area law enforcement officers will face charges in connection with a sex scandal that has rocked the Oakland Police Department, prosecutors said on Friday.

Dozens of birds have fallen from the sky above Boston and died, leaving health inspectors scratching their heads.
City health officials are investigating what caused a total of 47 birds, 12 of which were saved by animal rescuers, to become ill and die suddenly.

Exactly as many suspected, the overly judicious first use of Louisiana’s new Blue Lives Matter law proves the measure will be abused to give police the status of protected class — as a man who verbally insulted officers has now been charged with a hate crime.
Per the ridiculously unnecessary Blue Lives Matter legislation, the voluntarily undertaken occupations of police officer, emergency responder, and firefighter are protected against hate crimes the way historically persecuted categories like race, gender, creed, religion, and sexual orientation have been — making crimes specifically targeting cops hate crimes with enhanced penalties in the eyes of the law. The U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation by voice vote on Friday that would allow the families of victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks to sue Saudi Arabia’s government for damages, despite the White House’s threat to veto the measure.
The U.S. Senate passed the “Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act,” or JASTA, unanimously in May. Opponents of the bill said it could strain relations with Saudi Arabia and lead to retaliatory laws targeting U.S. citizens or corporations in other countries. An illegal alien and convicted child rapist was able to shoot two California corrections officers on Saturday because Hillary Clinton’s State Department refused to enforce the law and take actions that would have forced his home country to repatriate him.
On Saturday, Thong Vang, a 37-year-old Laotian national, shot and critically injured two corrections officers in Fresno, California. Vang had previously served sixteen years in prison for gang raping three girls under the age of 14.
