LAKELAND — Three Wal-Mart employees involved in the apprehension of a suspected shoplifter earlier this year have been charged with contributing to the man’s death while in their custody.

Secretary of State John Kerry admitted Monday that Russia has failed to meet his Aug. 1 deadline for playing a more constructive role in Syria, and warned that he now sees Russia’s actions in Syria as “very troubling.”
Kerry warned Russia back in May that it has to help the U.S. and other allies start moving Syria toward a political transition by today. “It is much more than a protest,” Ammon Bundy wrote on Facebook, two days before he and a group of people led an armed takeover of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. It would last 41 days.

Federal counter terrorism agents have arrested a 29-year-old Michigan man accused of illegally purchasing an arsenal of explosives and other devices capable of mass casualties, according to a criminal complaint filed this week.
Sebastian Gregerson, a Detroit resident who also goes by the name Abdurrahman Bin Mikaayl, was arrested on Monday by officials with the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s counter terrorism squad, according to the complaint.
