A Washington transit police officer was arrested on Wednesday on charges he attempted to provide material support to Islamic State, the U.S. Justice Department said, the first member of law enforcement facing such charges involving a government-designated terrorist group.

In July, Nicholas Young, who lives in Virginia, sent codes for gift cards worth $245 to an FBI informant. The gift cards were intended for mobile-messaging accounts that Islamic State uses to recruit its followers. Young believed the informant he was messaging was an acquaintance who was working with the militant group, according to court records.   Continue reading “Washington police officer charged with helping Islamic State”

On Aaron Klein’s Sunday radio program, “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” (broadcast on New York’s AM 970 The Answer and Philadelphia’s NewsTalk 990 AM), US government whistleblower William Binney threw his hat into the DNC hack ring by stating that the Democratic National Committee’s server was not hacked by Russia but by a disgruntled U.S. intelligence worker.

The motivation of the hacker…concern over Hillary Clinton’s disregard of national security secrets when she used a personal email and consistently lied about it.   Continue reading “NSA whistleblower says DNC hack was not done by Russia, but by U.S. intelligence”

A cargo plane with $400 million in foreign currencies was secretly sent to Iran on the same day four Americans were released from Tehran, according to a WSJ report citing EU and US officials. Washington insists the timing of the two events is coincidence.

Wooden pallets stacked with hard cash in euro, Swiss francs and other valuable currencies were flown into Iran on January 17 – exactly the same day the US exchanged seven Iranians for four Americans, said the Wall Street Journal, citing US and European officials and congressional sources.   Continue reading “US ‘secretly shipped’ $400mn to Iran before release of 4 hostages – report”

CNN President Jeff Zucker completely dissed Vice and Buzzfeed in a feature profile for Variety magazine, calling the rival media outlets “native advertising shops” and saying CNN “crushes” them.

Zucker went on to say that the two aren’t worthy of being called journalistic outlets.

“I don’t think Vice and BuzzFeed are legitimate news organizations,” Zucker said, reportedly cracking a “mischievous” smile, as reported by Variety on Tuesday.   Continue reading “‘Vice, Buzzfeed not legitimate news organizations’ – CNN president”

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — An Emirates flight from India with 300 people on board crash landed at Dubai’s main airport Wednesday, sending black smoke billowing into the air and halting all flights at the Middle East’s busiest airport. No one was killed, and all passengers were safely evacuated before the plane was engulfed in a fireball.

The accident was the most serious ever for Emirates, which has grown at a breakneck pace over the last three decades and turned its hometown of Dubai into a major long-haul international air hub. It was the second major air disaster for a Dubai government-backed airline in less than five months.   Continue reading “Emirates airliner with 300 onboard crash lands in Dubai”

220px-Adolfo_Nicolas,_Sup._GénAdolfo Nicolás Pachón SJ (born 29 April 1936), is a Spanish priest of the Roman Catholic Church. He is the thirtieth and current Superior General of the Society of Jesus, the largest religious order in the Roman Catholic Church.

He has announced that he has met with Pope Francis, the world’s Jesuit provincials (regional leaders), and with other Jesuits in positions under him at the headquarters, and he and they have begun to plan for an eventual general congregation that will replace him once he resigns, as he indicated he would prefer to do, at age 80. Until the resignation of his predecessor, Peter Hans Kolvenbach, it was not the norm for a Jesuit Superior General to resign; they, like the great majority of the Popes up until Benedict XVI, generally served until death. However, the Jesuit constitutions include provision for a resignation.[1]   Continue reading “Collectivist Target”

WASHINGTON (AP) — North Carolina’s top public health official acted unethically and possibly illegally by telling residents living near Duke Energy coal ash pits that their well water is safe to drink when it’s contaminated with a chemical known to cause cancer, a state toxicologist said in sworn testimony.

The Associated Press obtained a copy of the 220-page deposition (pdf) given last month by toxicologist Ken Rudo as part of a lawsuit filed against Duke by a coalition of environmental groups. The nation’s largest electricity company has asked a federal judge to seal the record, claiming its public disclosure would potentially prejudice jurors.   Continue reading “Top N. It’s been some years since Islanders have seen a black helicopter crisscrossing the Island, its crew scanning Martha’s Vineyard woodlands and backyards for homegrown cannabis. Last Tuesday and Wednesday the black bird was back.

Massachusetts National Guard personnel, operating under a grant from the DEA, and in conjunction with mainland State Police, confiscated 392 plants that were sighted from above. Four of those plants belonged to Edgartown resident Paul Jackson, an 81-year-old former cancer patient who grows the plant for medicinal tea.   Continue reading “MA State Police, National Guard seize elderly cancer survivor’s pot plants”

It’s a good thing cars can’t experience emotions or one specific 2014 Jeep Cherokee would be terrified every time security pros Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek come near it. That’s the vehicle they remotely hacked in 2015; now they used the Jeep to show how an attacker can control the steering, accelerator and brakes while the Jeep is driving at high speeds.

Granted, this time they were in the vehicle with a laptop physically connected to the CAN network via the diagnostic port. They reverse-engineered the electronic control unit (ECU) firmware, basically knocking it offline, so they could send fake CAN messages to tell the car what to do, such as slam on the brakes, jerk the steering wheel or hit the gas.   Continue reading “They’re back! Car hackers take control of Jeep’s steering and braking”

For those of you that are stressing about the collapse of the U.S. dollar and the Federal Reserve, please take faith that initial measures have been taken to insure a not-so-hard landing when the Federal Reserve Note will be retired out of circulation, being replaced by notes printed and backed solely by the U.S. Treasury. If you have been putting your money under the mattress for the last few years, you will want to take the time to read this article so that you can replace the old fiat currency of the Federal Reserve Note (FRN) with new currency. We believe that those who do not start taking action will find in the near future that their fiat currency is unredeemable. This is particularly true of the billions of dollars that are held in cash outside of the United States, most of which will not be redeemable once the transition is made.   Continue reading “New U.S. Currency Already in Our Money Supply”

A government report discovered the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) illegally stockpiles gun owners’ personal information.

The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), the go-to federal oversight agency, conducted an audit of ATF and found it does not remove certain identifiable information, despite the law explicitly mandating it do so. GAO conducted reviews for four data systems, and concluded at least two of ATF’s systems violated official protocols.   Continue reading “The ATF Is Illegally Hoarding American Gun Owners’ Personal Information”
