DALLAS (AP) — A man who was slain at an upscale suburban Dallas shopping center is identified in federal court documents as the acting leader of a notorious Mexican cartel, a claim that would run counter to the long-held belief that drug kingpins seldom try to hide in the United States.

Juan Jesus Guerrero Chapa moved into a million-dollar home in Southlake in 2011, two years before he was fatally shot by three men who prosecutors say had been stalking him for months. According to a recent court filing submitted by the lawyers for Jesus Gerardo Ledezma-Cepeda — one of three suspects slated to stand trial for Chapa’s killing — Chapa became the interim head of the Gulf Cartel — one of Mexico’s most violent drug-trafficking rings — following the arrest of predecessor Osiel Cardenas-Guillen, who was extradited to the U.S. in 2007 and later sentenced to 25 years in prison.   Continue reading “Top cartel leader appeared to find temporary haven in Texas”

Rural Nevadans suing to block the Obama administration’s greater sage grouse protection plan say a trail of internal government documents they cite in a new federal court filing shows politics was the driving force behind a pre-determined policy that flies in the face of its experts’ own best science.

The latest motion seeks to void the protections that have severely restricted the development of millions of acres of federal land across 10 Western states. In some cases, the protections have made sections of federal land totally off limits.   Continue reading “Suit: US Grouse Protections Driven by Politics, Not Science”

Bastrop County, TX – After gunning down an innocent, unarmed woman without warning and falsely claiming she had a gun in her hand, a former deputy was found not guilty of murder this week. Although several other deputies were caught blatantly participating in a cover-up, no other cops face criminal charges for their involvement.

According to Bastrop County Sheriff Terry Pickering’s initial press release, Yvette Smith called 911 to report two men fighting over a shotgun at approximately 12:33 a.m. on February 16, 2014. After disregarding commands to come out, Smith stood in the doorway brandishing a gun. Ignoring further orders, Smith was shot to death while “displaying a firearm.”   Continue reading “This is “Justice” in a Police State — Deputy Murders Innocent Unarmed Woman on Video — Not Guilty”

Geoengineering Watch – by Dane Wigington

Geoengineeringwatch.org recently acquired 2 excellent condition original copies of “Collier’s” magazine from May of 1954. The title on the cover of the 61 year old magazine is “Weather Made To Order….. Man’s Progress In Weather Control” (our previous post from a 1958 edition of Popular Science, “Weather As A Weapon” is also important to examine).  This kind of straightforward reporting on the issue of global climate modification (geoengineering/solar radiation management) has long since been shut down in mainstream publications. Though global weather modification and weather warfare has been going on in plain site and at a significant scale for over 70 years. The “official” narrative now is that programs of such magnitude are only “proposals”. This false narrative is propagated by all those in corporate media and academic circles that are paid to deny the ongoing and blatantly obvious atrocities occurring in skies around the globe. The so called “experts” are all too invested in the denial of climate engineering to turn back, so they just keep doubling down on the lie that it does not exist.   Continue reading ““Weather Made To Order”, Connecting The Dots”

A federal court ruled Thursday that the Los Angeles County supervisors violated the Constitution in 2014 when they voted to restore a small cross to the county seal. The cross appeared on a depiction of a historic mission building.

The plaintiffs, who included a coalition of liberal religious leaders, sued the county on the grounds that the cross violated the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. The court, agreed, and added that the seal violated the No Aid Clause of the California constitution, which prevents the government from conferring a “sectarian” benefit.   Continue reading “Federal Court Bans Cross from Los Angeles Seal”

End of American Dream – by Michael Snyder

Over the past ten years, approximately five million people have moved away from the state of California, and as you will see in this article this mass exodus appears to be accelerating.  So exactly why is this happening?  Once upon a time, it seemed like almost everyone wanted to live in California.  The nearly endless sunshine, the incredible weather, the pristine beaches and a booming economy motivated millions of young Americans to move out there to pursue “the California Dream”.  In fact, in the early nineties I actually explored the idea of moving out there myself.  But now the California Dream has become a nightmare.  Californians are being taxed to death, traffic in the major cities is absolutely horrific, violent crime and gang activity are on the rise, millions of illegal immigrants are putting an incredible strain on social support systems, and the ultra-liberal government in Sacramento seems to have gone completely insane.  In addition, the state faces constant threats from earthquakes, wildfires, droughts and mudslides, so it is quite understandable why so many people feel motivated to leave and never come back.   Continue reading “The Exodus Of People Moving Away From California Is Becoming An Avalanche”

BOSTON (AP) — Once a rarity on campuses, semi-automatic rifles are becoming a standard part of the arsenal for college police forces — firepower they say could make a difference the next time a gunman goes on a rampage.

The weapons are rarely seen in public and often stashed away in cruisers or at department headquarters, and many schools won’t talk about them. But federal data and Associated Press interviews and requests for records reveal that over the past decade, at least 100 U.S. college police agencies, and probably many more, have introduced rifles or acquired more of them.   Continue reading “Rifles on campus: College police forces add firepower”

Several employees of a Burger King fast-food outlet in Minnesota were persuaded by a prank caller posing as a fire official to smash the restaurant’s windows, convinced that rising gas pressure was threatening to cause an explosion, police said Saturday.

Police in the Minneapolis suburb of Coon Rapids were dispatched to the scene Friday night after someone at a gasoline station next door called emergency services to report what appeared to be an act of vandalism in progress, police Captain Tom Hawley said.   Continue reading “Prank caller tricks Burger King workers into smashing windows”
