SANTA CRUZ – Discord flared Thursday between Santa Cruz Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations after a five-year inquiry of alleged MS-13 gang activity spurred detainments based on questions of citizenship — not just criminal allegations.

Santa Cruz Police Chief Kevin Vogel, who is slated to retire in June, denounced Homeland Security during a press conference Thursday. He said the federal agency misled the police department about a series of raids Feb. 13. But Homeland Security spokesman James Schwab said the police department was aware that immigrants encountered during the investigation would be held briefly during review of their “identities and case histories.”  Continue reading “Santa Cruz police: Homeland Security misled city with ‘gang’ raids that were immigration related”

Many people believe that Earth is closer to the sun in the summer and that is why it is hotter. And, likewise, they think Earth is farthest from the sun in the winter.

Although this idea makes sense, it is incorrect.

It is true that Earth’s orbit is not a perfect circle. It is a bit lop-sided. During part of the year, Earth is closer to the sun than at other times. However, in the Northern Hemisphere, we are having winter when Earth is closest to the sun and summer when it is farthest away! Compared with how far away the sun is, this change in Earth’s distance throughout the year does not make much difference to our weather.   Continue reading “It’s all about Earth’s tilt!”

Last week, The Wall Street Journal revealed that members of the intelligence community — part of the deep state, the unseen government within the government that does not change with elections — now have acquired so much data on everyone in America that they can selectively reveal it to reward their friends and harm their foes. Their principal foe today is the president of the United States.

Liberty is rarely lost overnight. The wall of tyranny often begins with benign building blocks of safety — each one lying on top of a predecessor — eventually collectively constituting an impediment to the exercise of free choices by free people, often not even recognized until it is too late.   Continue reading “The chickens have come home to roost”

WEB Notes: Ahh yes. This new “plan” will also target “transnational terrorist groups beyond just Syria and Iraq“. Of course, because terrorism exists anywhere nations do not conform to the global agenda.

The top U.S. military officer declined repeatedly on Thursday to rule out committing U.S. ground troops to battle the Islamic State in in Syria, stressing that the Pentagon will present President Donald Trump with “a full range of options” to combat the terror organization.   Continue reading “With New Anti-ISIS Plan Due Next Week, Pentagon Considering U.S. Troops In Syria”

Photo radar has some big fans at the Iowa Appeals Court. A three-judge panel on Wednesday tossed a class action suit against speed camera use in Cedar Rapids and, in a separate case, the same panel upheld the principles behind the city’s automated ticketing program. At issue were the $75 tickets issued by the Swedish firm Sensys Gatso on Interstate 380, where the high-speed route passes through city limits.

Motorists argued that the civil administrative hearings Cedar Rapids uses to confirm violations are rigged in favor of the city, depriving drivers of their due process rights. The judges reasoned that there is nothing preventing aggrieved ticket recipients from challenging the citation in a real court. even though neither Sensys Gatso nor Cedar Rapids have been eager to advertise this.   Continue reading “Iowa Appeal$ Court Defend$ $peed Camera$”

And, lest you thing this is a joke, a quick walk around Paris even reveals campaign posters for “Obama17” plastered all around the city.   Continue reading “French Voters Call On Obama To Run For President To “Give French People Hope””

Perhaps no entity generates more fake news than the FBI’s counterterrorism unit. Several times a year, a press release is issued announcing the bust of a so-called terrorist. Almost invariably, the “terrorist” has been handcrafted through the relentless intercession of undercover FBI agents.   Continue reading “Another ‘Terrorist’ Swept Up By The FBI, Which Had To Purchase $20 Of ‘Terrorist’ Supplies To Keep The ‘Plan’ In Motion”

Love him or hate him, there’s definitely one thing that you cannot deny about Bill Gates. He’s a guy who is in the know. TOKYO — While media attention has largely drifted away from the 2011 meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in the years since the disaster, a recent and disturbing development has once again made Fukushima difficult if not impossible to ignore.

On Feb. 2, Tokyo Electric Power Company, or TEPCO, quietly released a statement regarding the discovery of a hole measuring 2 meters in diameter within the metal grating at the bottom of the containment vessel in the plant’s No. 2 reactor.   Continue reading “2 Robots Crippled By Record Levels Of Radiation Leaking At Fukushima Daiichi”

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The administration of President Donald Trump may ramp up enforcement of federal laws against recreational marijuana use, a White House spokesman said on Thursday, setting up potential conflicts in states where the drug is legal.

More than two dozen U.S. states have legalized marijuana for either medical or recreational purposes, and the administration of former President Barack Obama mostly looked the other way. But White House spokesman Sean Spicer said the Trump Administration may distinguish between medical and recreational use of the drug.  Continue reading “White House may boost recreational marijuana enforcement: spokesman”

I do believe this is the 4th plank of communism. And maybe now people will understand the real reason for the so-called round up of illegals and the hired provocateurs who as I stated some time ago, never really attack any establishment figures they claim to hate.

The various U.S. military branches are reportedly drafting proposals to expand in response to President Donald Trump’s pledge to rebuild America’s “depleted” fighting force.

Fox News has learned:

The Air Force wants to expand its forces by 30,000 airmen over the next five-to-six years. The Army wants to expand by roughly that amount by October, according to a defense official who shared the plan with Fox News but was not authorized to do so.
