President Trump has signed executive orders restricting the unions that represent many of the government’s 2.1 million employees, the White House said.
One of the three orders limits the amount of official time federal employees can spend on union duties to 25%. It also requires the federal government to start charging union members rent for using space in federal buildings, stop paying employees for the cost of lobbying the federal government, and more aggressively negotiate union contracts.
Migrants living in Italy have been advised to start packing as the country’s new populist leaders repeated promises to boot them out of the country.
At a rally in northern Italy, new Interior Minister and League leader, Matteo Salvini, warned: ‘The good times for illegals are over – get ready to pack your bags.’
Salvini’s appointment was described as a ‘dream’ by one supporter, while another said on the politician’s Facebook page that the new political lineup ‘breathe a different air’. Macon, GA – A teenager who suffers from seizures was forcibly separated from his parents and put into state custody, while his parents were jailed and charged with reckless conduct after they provided their son with marijuana to control his seizure disorder.
Matthew and Suzeanna Brill say they let their 15-year-old son, David, smoke cannabis in a desperate attempt to control his severe epileptic seizures. The couple told the New York Times that their son was having numerous seizures a day and that the pharmaceutical drugs he was prescribed to control his epilepsy failed to work. Governor Jerry Brown is retiring but not before he passes a few draconian laws as parting gifts for California. Two bills were signed into law on Thursday of last week to “help California be better prepared for future droughts and the effects of climate change.”
The mandatory water conservation standards will be permanent, according to their wording, and not just for use in times of crisis. SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A fatal shooting Saturday morning in this Phoenix suburb is connected to the murder of a forensic psychiatrist and two paralegals earlier this week, police said.
The Scottsdale Police Department is investigating this fourth homicide at an office building, Sgt. Ben Hoster said. Police did not identify the victim. Karen Kolbe, a licensed professional counselor, told The Arizona Republic the victim was Marshall Levine, a psychologist to whom she had rented office space for the last two years. GENEVA (Reuters) – Poverty in the United States is extensive and deepening under the Trump administration whose policies seem aimed at removing the safety net from millions of poor people, while rewarding the rich, a U.N. human rights investigator has found.

Toxins have been found in tap water in Salem, Oregon, resulting in the declaration of a state of emergency by Oregon Governor Kate Brown.
The declaration was issued for both Marion and Polk Counties and includes the capital city of Salem, as well as the towns of Turner and Stayton. The National Guard is expected to deliver water to residents using 10 water stations supplied by 2,000-gallon tankers. Mega-pastor Joel Osteen may not know theology very well, but he sure knows how to rake in the bucks. To put it another way, Osteen is an expert at getting your down-on-their-luck relatives to hand over their money to his “ministry.” The proof is in the pudding, so they say, because the Houston Chronicle is reporting that Lakewood Church’s annual budget is around 90 million dollars a year.
Lakewood Church’s fiscal budget was revealed during the newspaper’s series titled “The Preacher’s Son.” The series “explores the origins and spectacular growth of Houston’s Lakewood Church under pastor Joel Osteen.” However, the Chronicleand writer Katherine Blunt decided to run a separate piece breaking down the church’s budget. HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – The Hallandale Police Department suspended two officers without pay Thursday, while the department investigates their actions after a video showed them striking a suspect with batons.
The department identified the officers as Jaime Cerna, who has been with the department for 11 years, and Richard Allen, who has been with the department for 35 years. Facebook is trying to create balance with its upcoming news programs, set to launch next week.
The social network tapped CNN and Fox News as two of its showcase media partners for a news initiative it has been working on for months under Campbell Brown, Facebook’s head of news partnerships, according to people familiar with the deals. The Wall Street Journal was the first to report that CNN and Fox News were joining Facebook to create news programs, and that Shepard Smith would be the face of Fox’s new digital news program. India decided to proceed with the long-anticipated $5.5 bln deal to purchase Russia’s S-400 surface-to-air missile units despite the US saying the purchase may affect the relations between Washington and New Dehli.
