Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) declared on Saturday that he backs the “real” Second Amendment, rather than an “imaginary” version of the provision that he says is touted by gun rights advocates.

“I support the real 2nd Amendment, not the imaginary 2nd Amendment,” Murphy tweeted. “And the real #2A isn’t absolute. It allows Congress to wake up to reality and ban these assault rifles that are designed for one purpose only – to kill as many people as fast as possible.”   Continue reading “Dem senator: I support ‘real’ Second Amendment, not ‘imaginary’ one”

The government of Sweden has produced a 20-page pamphlet which they’ll be sending to each of the 4.8 million households in the country urging them to get prepared for…WAR.

Although they haven’t been at war for over 200 years, for some reason, right now, they want their citizens to get prepped – and fast. This goes along with an article I wrote in January of 2018 when the government urged their people to be ready to cope “without help” for at least a week.  Continue reading “Sweden Warns Every Single Household to Prep for WAR”

The Trump administration — its Department of Labor, specifically — is about to make life a little more difficult for another group of people. It must be Monday.

There’s a lot to like about the idea of apprenticeship programs. They could radically transform the labor market and provide a much-needed source of opportunity in the vast and forgotten middle-ground between the college-educated and the uneducated.   Continue reading “Trump Administration Sets Its Sights on Dismantling Teenage Labor Laws”

California lawmakers took steps Monday to let school employees ask judges to temporarily strip gun rights from potentially dangerous people in the wake of a mass school shooting in Texas.

California is already one of a handful of states that allow immediate family members and law enforcement officials to request gun violence restraining orders against people who show warning signs of violence. Assemblyman Phil Ting’s bill, AB2888, would extend that ability to more people, including school employees and co-workers.   Continue reading “California may expand gun violence restraining order law”

After February’s school shooting in Parkland, Florida, the Miami Herald reportedthat more parents were considering the homeschooling option. And after Friday’s disturbing school shooting in Sante Fe, Texas, a local ABC news affiliate in Alabama reported the increasing appeal of homeschooling.

“If I had the time, I would teach my kids myself, and I would know that they’re safe,” a father of four told ABC station, WAAY31. A public school teacher interviewed by the channel disagreed with the idea of homeschooling. According to the news story, the teacher “says resorting to homeschooling is teaching your children to run from reality.”  Continue reading “In the Wake of Mass Shootings, Parents Reconsider Mass Schooling”

While the world was shocked by the news that Israeli forces killed more than 60 Palestinians in one day last week, Israeli officials have refused to cooperate with a United Nations investigation into the slaughter, and have defended the death toll by calling Palestinians “Nazis.”

May 14 marked the bloodiest day in Gaza since 2014 when Israel opened fire on Palestinian protesters who were demonstrating within 100 meters of their border fence. More than 2,700 Palestinians were injured, and the majority of them were hit by live fire. The death toll was around 60, and at least six of the civilians who were killed were under the age of 18, according to reports from the Gaza Health Ministry.   Continue reading “Israeli Gov’t Just Condoned the Slaughter of Men, Women and Children by Calling Them ‘Nazis’”

Optimism and skepticism about Tesla’s future are in an all-out war. Those who are bullish on the 15-year-old maker of sexy all-electric cars are doubling down on their bullishness and support for CEO Elon Musk.

Those who are bearish are predicting a bankruptcy in the next year, as Tesla burns through its cash and fails to persuade new investors to fund its monumental losses — something like $20 billion for the life of the company.
