RALEIGH, NC (WTVD) — The 20-year-old mother of the 1-year-old baby seen smoking in a viral video on Facebook has been arrested by Raleigh Police and faces multiple charges.

SALEM, Ore. — A recently filed Oregon initiative would make manufacturing, importing, possessing, purchasing or selling an assault weapon or large capacity magazine a crime — with only a few exceptions.

An AC-130 gunship, the most feared asset in the Pentagon’s special operations aircraft inventory, flew a highly peculiar path around south Seattle on Tuesday afternoon. The highly modified C-130J transport plane, which bristles with 30mm and 105mm cannons, advanced sensors and defensive countermeasures, and can carry a variety of missiles and guided bombs, wasn’t ‘squawking’ its callsign and wouldn’t even have been noticed if it weren’t for keen-eyed aircraft trackers who monitor plane movements via their ADS-B transponders, which provide basic geographical location, altitude, speed, and flight registry. PFLUGERVILLE, Texas – A serial bomber whose family describes him as shrouded in mysterious “darkness” left a 25-minute video confession on his cellphone, claiming responsibility for murder and creating widespread panic.
Austin Police Chief Bryan Manley said law enforcement recovered the confession made by Mark Anthony Conditt while scouring through his possessions. Conditt, a 23-year-old unemployed college dropout, blew himself up early Wednesday as a SWAT team closed in. Shortly it will become compulsory for senior citizens to carry not only their ID, but also their insurance documents, their prescription list, a compact version of their medical file, the statement declaring if they want to be resuscitated after a heart attack, stroke, etc. etc.

Aurora Villon, president of the El Rancho Unified School District Board of Education, announced Tuesday evening that the school board had reached a “unanimous decision” to fire Gregory Salcido, a history teacher at El Rancho High School and elected councilman for the city of Pico Rivera, the Los Angeles Times reported. After shaving more than $20 off its share price earlier this week, Facebook stock moved back into the green Wednesday as CEO Mark Zuckerberg said he would publicly address the company’s relationship with Cambridge Analytica some time during the next 24 hours.
At the same time, another lawsuit has been brought against the company, the second since the New York Times and the Observer reported over the weekend that the company had failed to stop CA from using data improperly gathered from tens of millions of users, a Maryland woman sued Facebook Tuesday in a San Jose, Calif. court. Her suit was filed on behalf of other Facebook users whose data were accessed by CA without their explicit permission, Bloomberg reported. A federal cabinet minister says a directive to Service Canada agents telling them to use gender-neutral language — such as ‘parent’ instead of ‘mother’ or ‘father’ — when speaking to the public was badly worded and will be corrected.
