Authorities are searching for a suspect in the death of a Louisiana police officer who was shot just before her shift Wednesday night.
The Shreveport Police Department didn’t disclose details about the shooting, but the city’s police association confirmed the officer’s death in a Facebook post around 2 a.m. Thursday and thanked the Oschner LSU Health Hospital doctors who “fought so hard” to save her. The latter won a Nobel Prize in economics for his study of the American economy. He studied the inputs and outputs of American industry. Starting with an extractive industry like mining which outputs coal and iron. These outputs become inputs to the making of steel as an output. What’s for dinner tonight? If you live in Oregon, it could well be that deer you hit on your way home from work thanks to a recently implemented law making it legal to harvest your roadkill in the state.
The bill was sponsored by Oregon state senator Bill Hansell, who was inspired by driving past a dead deer on the side of the road in his large rural district. He felt it was a shame to let it go to waste, so he put forth the bill that has now made Oregon one of roughly 20 states that permit harvesting roadkill for food. Some may be happy to learn that the US Senate didn’t pass the ‘anti BDS bill’ on Tuesday. But a look at the vote reveals that America’s politicians are fully removed from the American ethos of freedom. Fifty six mostly Republican Senators, just 4 shy of the 60 needed to pass the bill, voted to enact a law contrary to the Constitutional right to Freedom of Speech as granted by the 1st amendment. The defeated bill included a provision to allow states and local governments to punish Americans who boycott Israel. This was an astonishing and nearly successful attempt to legislate crude government interference with freedom of speech in its most protected form: political speech. The fact that such a bill made it to the floor of the Senate confirms that the American political establishment is an occupied zone committed to silencing opposition to Israel and its lobby. For the first time in its history, the American Psychological Association (APA) released guidelines concerning men and boys, saying that so-called “traditional masculinity” not only is “harmful” but also could lead to homophobia and sexual harassment.
“The main thrust of the subsequent research is that traditional masculinity – marked by stoicism, competitiveness, dominance and aggression – is, on the whole, harmful,” reads the news release by the famed association. Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Randy Thuman stopped a Ford F-150 for a traffic violation on Interstate 10 between San Antonio and Houston.
