President Trump on Thursday announced that he would cancel a scheduled 2.1 percent across-the-board pay increase for federal workers, as well as locality pay increases.
“In light of our Nation’s fiscal situation, Federal employee pay must be performance-based, and aligned strategically toward recruiting, retaining, and rewarding high-performing Federal employees and those with critical skill sets,” Trump wrote in a letter to the Speaker of the House and the President of the Senate. LLANO, TX – All too often those who continuously apologize for crimes committed by police officers are able to justify some of the most egregious instances of outright murder by claiming the officer was a bad apple. Almost as often, however, as TFTP has shown numerous times, the bad apple theory is exactly that—a theory—with no evidence to support it.

Maine officials denied a request Thursday from animal rights advocates to create a memorial along Route 1 after a crash last week sent 7,000 pounds of live lobster into the street.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PETA, sent a letter to the state’s Department of Transportation Wednesday requesting permission to erect a 5-foot-tall tombstone memorial near the crash site in Brunswick. A Chinese company that claims to have hacked Hillary Clinton’s private server reportedly has a copy of every single email the former presidential candidate sent and received afterward. The Chinese state-owned company inserted a code that forwarded all Hillary’s emails to them, and Donald Trump is already demanding that this is investigated.
According to reporting done by The Daily Caller, the Chinese state-owned firm operating in the Washington D.C. area wrote code that was then embedded in Hillary’s private server and generated a “courtesy copy” for almost all her emails. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd released dashcam video showing an enraged man swerve toward an Uber, then exit his truck and come at the Uber driver, only to be shot and killed.
The incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday.
ABC News reports the Uber driver was 38-year-old Robert Westlake. He was driving a customer home from a bar and when the assailant, 34-year-old Jason Boek, passed him, swerved toward the front of the Uber car, then came to a complete stop, thereby blocking the lane. Seventeen people have been sickened in four states — with one fatal case in New York — from a salmonella outbreak tied to raw chicken, according to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

In what may be the most innocent violation to emerge out of Wells Fargo in years, the WSJ reports that Wells has fired or suspended more than a dozen employees in its investment bank and is investigating dozens of others over violations of the company’s expense policy regarding after-hours meals.

New York City has been renamed “Jewtropolis” in mapping software used by social media site Snapchat and others.

An Elizabeth police officer is being accused of beating, choking and dragging a handcuffed suspect in the department’s headquarters.
Officer Edward Shields was indicted Friday on a simple assault charge by a grand jury, Union County Prosecutor’s Office spokesman Mark Spivey said. The boyfriend of a woman captured on night-vision video ringing a doorbell in the middle of the night while partially-clothed and wearing broken wrist restrains has been found dead, according to police.

Next week there’s a book coming out about William Cooper: Pale Horse Rider: William Cooper, the Rise of Conspiracy, and the Fall of Trust in America, by Mark Jacobson. Vice.com has an interview with the author, here. In the title of the article, Vice calls Cooper “the Godfather of Conspiracy Theories,” which is pretty spot on.
I’m somewhat surprised that a biography of Bill Cooper has been written and published by a subsidiary of Penguin, but upon further reflection it perfectly suits the times. TORONTO – A few dozen activists protested outside B’nai Brith Canada headquarters in Toronto Wednesday in a rally to support the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW).
B’nai Brith recently condemned the union for aligning itself with a Palestinian counterpart that supports terrorism and the elimination of Israel.
The event was organized by former Green Party Justice Critic Dimitri Lascaris, an anti-Israel activist who recently lost a lawsuit against B’nai Brith.
