At the request of an Oklahoma court, a mother of seven has been sterilized as part of a judge’s order, setting a damning precedent in the process.

Summer Thyme Creel, 34, had the procedure in November after the judge wrote he could consider it at her sentencing if she chose to do so.

Although the procedure was “voluntary,” the court order to do so crosses some ominous barriers. Documents that have come to light recently show that Monsanto continued to make and sell polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) for eight years after they knew that they were hazardous to the environment and human health.

An amateur witness sketch proved to be no laughing matter after authorities were able to identify a man accused of a theft last month.

Four days after reporting their Texas vacation home missing, Jo and Lonnie Harrison were informed Tuesday that it had been repossessed.

Turns out the Madisonville home that the Harrisons purchased as part of a land deal in November 2017 was moved to a new location roughly an hour away in Rockdale, Texas, by a repossession company based out of Temple, local news station ABC13 reported. Yesterday we explained  that one of the reasons why Deutsche Bank stock had tumbled to the lowest level since 2016, is because its top shareholder, China’s largest and most distressed conglomerate, HNA Group, had reportedly defaulted on a wealth management product sold on Phoenix Finance according to the local press reports. BALTIMORE (AP) — Federal prosecutors and lawyers for one of two Baltimore detectives fighting racketeering and robbery charges have made their closing arguments as a trial winds down in one of the worst U.S. police corruption scandals in recent memory.

The high-profile case is not in the hands of a jury quite yet. FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — A wooden box carried an eagle feather and bone whistle, a gourd rattle and a feather fan — items that carry spiritual energy and are used in Native American religious ceremonies.

The man holding the box asked security agents at the San Antonio International Airport to allow him to display the items so their energy wouldn’t be polluted. ALBANY — Calling gun violence a “national epidemic,” state Senate Democrats Tuesday unveiled a package of gun control bills.

The nine-bill package would ban bump stock devices that increase rate of fire like the one used in the Las Vegas mass shooting. More than two months after the death of a US Border Patrol agent on duty in Texas, an internal government memo and the FBI appear to cast doubt on theories that the agent and his partner were attacked or ambushed.

US Border Agent Rogelio “Roger” Martinez and his partner, Stephen “Michael” Garland, were found near a concrete-lined culvert in southwest Texas on November 18.
