Night Vision Devices or NVDs are a much  more common piece of support gear as compared to just a few years ago.  Today quality NVDs can be purchased at a reasonable price, the utility of owning a set of NVDs is not lost on the average person who fully understands how much an NVD can enhance their low light / no light defensive capabilities .  When purchasing NVDs keep in mind certain considerations….

The price of quality night vision is much more affordable today, but we don’t want to make uninformed decisions and find out  that the newly purchased NVD will not suit the requirements of our specific needs. Continue reading “Night Vision Equipment selection”

UNITED NATIONS – Representatives of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, or UNHRC, are “intensely discussing in meetings” the possibility of extending U.N. protection to the thousands of Central Americans crossing the U.S. border with Mexico illegally by defining them as “refugees” who are seeking asylum from political and domestic violence in their home nations, WND has confirmed.

Officials privy to the U.N. discussions have explained to WND it’s “a tricky situation,” because the Central American immigrants are not part of any group the U.N. has designated as victims of political or religious persecution.   Continue reading “U.N. seeking to intervene in U.S. border crisis”

The Phoenix housing market has a special place in the heart of housing bubble watchers: together with Las Vegas and various California MSAs, this is the place where the last housing bubble was born and subsequently died a gruesome death which nearly brought down the entire financial system. Which is why the monthly WP Carey report on the Greater Phoenix Housing Market is of peculiar interest for those who want to catch a leading glimpse into the overall state of the bubble US housing market. As hoped, this month’s letter does not disappoint. What we find is that while equilibrium prices have been largely flat month over month, and are up 6% on an average square foot basis from a year ago, something very bad is happening with a key component of the pricing calculation: demand has fallen off a cliff.   Continue reading “Phoenix Housing Market Hit By Unprecedented Plunge In Demand”

Free political speech is an American founding principle ensconced in our Constitution, this we know. It is seemingly born into most Americans at birth. Well, by Americans, we don’t mean liberals and proof of that is in Nebraska where Obama’s racist henchman Attorney General Eric Holder is seeking to prosecute someone–anyone–over a parade float that criticized his emperor.

In an Independence Day parade in Norfolk, Nebraska one of the floats was a bit of a jab at The One. It featured a pickup with an outhouse on the truck bed with signs reading “Presidential Library.” It also featured what many feel looks like a gaunt, African American figure with hands raised to its head, face in a frozen scream.   Continue reading “Obama Cancels Free Speech in Nebraska”

Breitbart – by Tony Lee

Protests from local elected officials in Maryland this weekend forced the Health and Human Services Department (HHS) to cancel its plans to send illegal immigrant children to an Army Reserve center in Westminster, which is about 35 miles from Baltimore.

Maryland Democrat Gov. Martin O’Malley said illegal immigrant children flooding across the border should be considered “refugees” and all be given asylum status, but after Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) publicized the federal government’s last-minute plans to sneak illegal immigrant children into Maryland, there was considerable blowback. HHS backed off, citing things like insufficient access to drinking water at the facility.   Continue reading “Feds Retreat After Maryland Residents Fight Plan to Dump Illegals”

Planeload of deportees arrives in HondurasLA Times – by Cindy Carcamo

The first lady and her entourage were waiting. So were politicians, camera crews and aid workers in blue vests, ready to hand out suckers and balloons to toddlers pulled along by their frazzled mothers.

A chartered flight that landed here Monday was the first carrying only mothers and children deported by the U.S. as it tries to stem a wave of migration from Central America that has overwhelmed U.S. border officials. U.S. officials said there would be many more.

Freedom Outpost – by Suzanne Hamner

For many, it came as no surprise when CNSnews.com reported that House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) “disagreed” with Sarah Palin’s call for Obama’s impeachment. Boehner would rather have the House of Representatives file a lawsuit against Obama aimed at “forcing” this president to “faithfully execute the law.” Impeachment has been tabled by Boehner because he “disagrees” with impeachment; even though, the Constitutional remedy for an out of control executive is just that – impeachment.   Continue reading “John Boehner: “We have a system of government outlined in our Constitution” But I won’t follow it Concerning Impeachment of Barack Obama”

The NYPD in Times Square on New Year'sAM New York-by Leonard Levitt

The NYPD’s newly appointed deputy commissioner for intelligence and counter-terrorism, John Miller, addressed the Joint Terrorism Task Force earlier this year at an off-site location on the West Side. “You guys may not believe this,” Miller said, “but we [the NYPD] don’t care about credit. We don’t care about control.”

The statement reflects the “collaborative” anti-terrorism policy of Commissioner Bill Bratton — markedly different from the go-it-alone approach of predecessor Ray Kelly and his deputy commissioner for intelligence, David Cohen. Continue reading “NYPD Confidential: New style on anti-terrorism”

Ukrainians Push For Swiss Model Of DefenseAmmoLand – by Dean Weingarten

Arizona – -(Ammoland.com)- Ukrainians are learning the advantages of an armed citizenry the hard way.

An organization in Kiev, Київський Легіон,  (Kyiv Legion) is calling for citizens to become armed on the Swiss model.

They even suggest that it might make sense to have those who do not serve be taxed to make up for their lack of service.   This is not an uncommon concept in history, and was used in the American civil war.   Continue reading “Ukrainians Push For Swiss Model Of Defense”

GUTHRIE, Okla. (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey has recorded seven small earthquakes shaking central Oklahoma in a span of about 14 hours.

The temblors are part of an increase in earthquakes across Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas that some scientists say could be connected to the oil and gas drilling method known as hydraulic fracturing, and especially the wells in which the industry disposes of its wastewater.   Continue reading “7 Earthquakes Shake Central Oklahoma”
