When you’re sick, little is more comforting than holding a steaming mug of fragrant tea in both hands, warming your face with the hot steam.  Somehow, no matter how rotten you felt before, you instantly feel just a tiny bit better.

Whether you are lucky enough to grow your own tea herbs, you purchase loose teas, or you use tea bags, your cabinet is not complete without the following ingredients.  These teas are delicious and beneficial, with many different healing qualities.  Considering that we most often turn to herbal teas for healing purposes, it’s especially important to purchase or grow organic herbs for this purpose.  If your leaves are bathed in pesticide and then you add them to boiling water, instead of healing goodness, you are steeping toxins.   Continue reading “The Top 10 Teas for Your Herbal Medicine Cabinet”

Yesterday I posted some thoughts about weather, wet/dry kit drills and some related stuff HERE. I am following up today with a more detailed discussion on options for sleeping in the field.

There are two main areas that this relates to: Firstly, there is living light out of your patrol pack, the ‘travel light, freeze at night’ scenario, and secondly there is living out of your ruck in patrol bases in the longer term. In the first option, what sleep you do get while out on a short term patrol will likely be limited to naps while pulling 50% security at some rally point or ORP. Cheye Calvo, the mayor of Berwyn Heights, Maryland, was taking a shower in his home late Tuesday afternoon, July 29, 2008 in preparation for a meeting he had that night. He heard a loud explosion at the front door of his home followed by the screaming of his mother-in-law who was in the kitchen preparing dinner. Their two black Labs, Payton and Chase, started barking. Calvo told what happened:   Continue reading “Blurring the Line between Police and Military”

If one man could be blamed most for the destruction of Detroit, it would be Coleman Young.

Mayor from 1974 to 1993, Young set a city already in decline on the pathway to the disaster area it is today.

Coleman Young had a well-deserved reputation for corruption, but few today understand his communism.

It is important to know that it was a combination of crony capitalism and communism that destroyed Detroit, because that is exactly the formula being employed by Young’s spiritual heir, Barack Obama, from the White House today.   Continue reading “Coleman Young: the Communist Who Destroyed Detroit”

New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan on Tuesday signed a new medical marijuana bill into law, officially making her state the 19th to allow doctors to prescribe the drug.

State lawmakers in both legislative houses overwhelmingly approved the new law in June, and Gov. Hassan said she would sign the bill, thereby making New Hampshire the last state in New England to legalize medical marijuana.   Continue reading “New Hampshire legalizes medical marijuana”

We are led to believe that the two political parties are fighting ferociously to protect and PROVIDE for their constituencies. Ha! Not so. Either consumption tax as a “solution” would further cripple those with the least disposable income, the poor and the productive middle class. The burden of debt as it exists right now is heaped upon the backs of the working class right now. Additional burdens will bring him to his knees.   Continue reading “A VAT or “Fair” Tax would Finish Off America’s Middle Class”

DETROIT (AP) — A federal judge agreed with Detroit on Wednesday and stopped any lawsuits challenging the city’s bankruptcy, declaring his courtroom the exclusive venue for legal action in the largest filing by a local government in U.S. history.

The decision by U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Steven Rhodes was a major victory for Detroit, especially after an Ingham County judge last week said Gov. Rick Snyder ignored the Michigan Constitution and acted illegally in approving the Chapter 9 filing. That ruling and others had threatened to derail the case.   Continue reading “Judge stops lawsuits against Detroit bankruptcy”

[Editor’s Note: There is no doubt in my mind that guillotines are being stored on selected military bases in America. Pam Schuffert had first hand conversations with people who have seen them. I’m equally convinced that crematoriums have been installed on many of the larger FEMA concentration camps, both here on the mainland and in Hawaii. Pam Schuffert accurately foretold of coming events when she titled her web site “American Holocaust” from its inception in the 1990s.   Continue reading “Why Are Modern Guillotines on Military Bases in America?”

Rolling Stone Runs with Boston Bombing Suspect Cover, Sparks Outrage rollingstoneboston1The front page of Rolling Stone’s August edition features a photograph of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev being portrayed in the mode of a rock star.  The photograph has been causing quite a controversy as Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has already been convicted in the mainstream media and any depiction of him as anything other than a maniacal psychotic bomber is seen as a threat to that narrative.

On July 17, 2013 tactical photographer Sergeant Sean Murphy of the Massachusetts Police Department released photos of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s arrest, reportedly in an effort to counter the rock star portrayal put forth by Rolling Stone Magazine.    Continue reading “Why is Police Photographer Sean Murphy under attack for Releasing Photos of Boston Bomber Suspect?”

I am sure we have all heard some kind of a Conspiracy Theory at one time or another.  With the advent of the Internet and Google Searches it has become much more prevalent in our times.  So, what should we make of all these so called plots against us?  You know, the average American Citizen.  I have put together a sampling of videos and written information for you to view and consider.  I don’t pretend to have the answers on these Theories,  but I have to admit,  I am looking at them a lot more seriously these days.   Continue reading “Are you willing to pay the price for Freedom?”

On the eve of a congressional discussion that may lend to ending the National Security Agency’s mass collection of domestic phone records, the White House made the rare move late Tuesday of issuing a statement condemning proposed legislation.

White House press secretary Jay Carney said Tuesday evening that a bipartisan-supported amendment expected to go before a vote later this week would “hastily dismantle” a key counterterrorism tool used by the United States intelligence community if approved.   Continue reading “White House denounces Amash amendment as dismantling of NSA”

The CIA is seeking to reduce the number of its Afghanistan bases of operation from a dozen to as few as six over two years, going with the overall American withdrawal. But even after 2014 it will maintain a significant footprint.

The manpower and equipment will be relocated from Afghanistan to other destinations, particularly Yemen and North Africa, places where Al-Qaeda-affiliated forces are presented, reports The Washington Post. CIA operatives would also be needed for operations not involving anti-insurgency, like the planned supplying of weapons to the Syrian armed opposition.   Continue reading “CIA scales down Afghanistan operations amid troop pullout”

I have to confess, I’m not a beer drinker, but there’s someone in my household that loves it, so I had to figure out the truth. Is beer really healthy? Why are the ingredients not listed on the label? Which brands can we trust? Which brands are trying to slowly poison us with cheap and harmful ingredients? All of these questions were going through my head at once at lightening speed. So a year ago, I started to research what was really in beer and after questioning several beer companies, reading books about food science, and talking to experts, the information I discovered was downright shocking.   Continue reading “Shocking Ingredients Found in Beer”
