Town Hall – by Bill Tatro

I’ve been waiting in the wings very patiently for the all the uproar to die down before I weighed in on the incredibly stupid 2010 comment made by former Wyoming Senator Alan Simpson in which he called me and my fellow senior citizens, “The greediest generation.”

With essentially no lack of antagonism directed toward career politician Simpson for all this time, I definitely feel the need to finally come forward in order to shed more light on the subject.  Let me begin by explaining that in addition to being ill-advised, Simpson’s remark also reveals everything that you need to know about career politicians in general, irrespective of their political party affiliation.    Continue reading “The Problem with Social Security Reform is the Gov Already Stole the Money”

Cayenne pepper may not be overwhelmingly used in America but it certainly deserves to be given a lot more attention considering the many health benefits associated to eating it. This very spicy herb has many advantages such as helping the cardiovascular system; preventing stomach ulcers; aiding the digestive tract and fighting against inflammation, just to name a few.

Cayenne pepper owes its given name to a town in French Guiana where it is cultivated. It’s a hot chilli pepper from the capsicum family, related to bell peppers, jalapenos and paprika. The plants are no more than four feet tall and generally grown in a tropical environment, as they require a moist and warm soil for optimal results. These grown peppers turn out to be very rich in nutrients and they are an excellent source of vitamins, more specifically vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin, vitamin B6 and vitamin K.   Continue reading “Cayenne pepper is a lot more than just a hot herb”

Reader Joe K. sent this news link: Bill Seeks Steel Cents, Nickels, Dimes, and Quarters. Note that the bill’s main sponsors are from Ohio, which is a steel manufacturing state. But this legislation is more than just grandstanding.

Unlike similar legislation in previous sessions of congress, this new bill will probably gain traction in the current congress, since the government has now been losing money with the seigniorage costs of pennies and nickels for many years. Well, I’ve been warning you since 2009, folks.    Continue reading “Penny and Nickel Debasement Bill Introduced in U.S. Congress”

Calif. Assembly Passes Bill to Allow Non-citizens to Serve on JuriesThe New American – by Warren Mass

California’s Assembly passed a bill on April 25 that would permit non-U.S. citizens to serve on juries. If the bill, AB 1401, passes the Senate and is signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown, California would become the first state to allow this practice. Brown has not take a public position on the bill.   Continue reading “Calif. Assembly Passes Bill to Allow Non-citizens to Serve on Juries”

Panic erupted on Friday at Pine Eagle Charter school in rural Oregon when two masked men carrying handguns burst into a teachers’ lounge and opened fire.

After the initial chaos, the terrified teachers realized the guns were firing blanks and that they were the subject of an unannounced shooter drill.   Continue reading “Oregon Teachers Traumatized by Unannounced Shooter Drill”

Daily Beast writer named Lee Siegel has issued an “edgy” rant about how much he hates the South, and how he wishes he wouldn’t have to deal with our politics, religion, people, or culture anymore.

He wants us to secede.

Seigel’s display of contempt for flyover country isn’t even original, and appears to have been plagiarized wholesale from a 2004 rant by an anonymous fellow leftist. It’s hardly surprising that Seigel stole his rant. Those that refuse to allow diverging thoughts are by definition stuck regurgitating the same rhetorical hate speech.   Continue reading “Secede, Hell.”

Prairie Court – by Tom Kocal

APRIL 27, 2012, APPLE RIVER, IL – The little town of Apple River in northeast Jo Daviess County, Illinois is the hometown of a big man – Terrence Ingram. Though not big in a physical sense, when it comes to saving the American Bald Eagle, there is hardly anyone in the United States held in higher regard than Ingram. His years of documented research and expertise regarding eagles and the work of the Eagle Nature Foundation, founded by Ingram, is in great part responsible for the bald eagle being removed from the “Threatened Species List “ in the United States.   Continue reading “Heart of the Matter – Ingram Gets His Day In Court – Three Weeks Late”

Hidden History - Freeman's PerspectiveFree-Man’s Perspective – by Paul Rosenberg

1981: I was looking through some old books that somehow ended up at my parents’ house. Among them, I found a set of history books from the 1930s. With an innate interest in the topic, I began reading them, and was absolutely shocked by what I found.

The last book of the series covered what were then modern times, and to my horror, I found lavish praise for – of all people – Benito Mussolini.   Continue reading “How I Discovered the Hidden Side of History”

Matrix Martial Arts

Martial Arts vs Gun Control, and the Winner Is…!

I have always been a proponent of martial arts. And, while there are some that disagree, I have been friendly towards the second amendment. On April 27th of this year all my arguments were proven. People should know martial arts, and gun control should be taken off the table and replaced by…the second amendment.   Continue reading “Man Uses Martial Arts to Take Shotgun Away From Mugger!”
