Milwaukee officials announced Monday a plan to spend nearly half a million dollars to replace the Police Department’s service weapon next year by using asset forfeiture funds.
The announcement comes about a month and half after the union representing rank-and-file officers sued the city, demanding it replace department-issued firearms that have been the subject of three unexplained, accidental discharges since 2020, which injured two officers. Fake news: They were NOT firing “rubber bullets”. And the video clip doesn’t show what happened prior…the crowd throwing rocks at agents.
