A hypersonic glider capable of moving at a speed eight times faster than sound has launched from a rocket range in the town of Woomera, South Australia.
The launch was performed as part of a research project which features the US military and Boeing.

Sometimes you have to think that scientists don’t ever read science fiction, and thus have not even contemplated all the things that could go wrong when they do something like creating 20 million mosquitos in a laboratory, infecting them with a bacteria, and then releasing those mosquitos in Fresno, California.
First of all, did you even know that Google had a bio-lab? They do and it’s called Verily. The mother of three said she was told the child would require thousands of dollars in dental work. Because the family doesn’t have dental insurance, they would have to pay for the work themselves, so Lopez decided to get a second opinion.
Whitby, Ont., resident Melissa Lopez says she was surprised when she brought her daughter Elianna to a new dentist last year and was told the 10-year-old had nine cavities.
Another dentist in the area told her Elianna had fewer cavities, so Lopez decided to get the fillings completed at that clinic and said she didn’t notify the other dentist that she had made the switch.

A flash flood at a popular swimming hole north of Payson killed nine people Saturday, and left several more missing, officials said Sunday.

Former Haitian government Klaus Eberwein was found dead in a motel room earlier this week from a gunshot wound to the head. The Miami-Dade medical examiner is ruling it a suicide.

DEPOE BAY, Oregon (WFLA/NBC) – A truck carrying about 7,500 pounds of live eels overturned on an Oregon highway Thursday afternoon.
Police said the truck driver failed to stop and when he slammed on the breaks, the containers full of eels flew off the truck.

Bodycam footage of two Orlando police officers pulling over Florida’s first and only black state attorney has gone viral. The cops, now accused of racial profiling, claimed her tags didn’t come back as registered and also eyed her legally tinted windows.

This is the unbelievable moment three police officers allowed a K9 dog to maul a man’s arm while they held him, face down, on the side of the street.
The suspect arrested in San Diego, California, was left with a large open wound after the dog pounced on him and brutally bit him – as officers didn’t utter a single command word to stop the attack.
