Las Cruces, NM — Two Las Cruces cops were caught on video, severely beating a handcuffed man, and they will face no consequences for their crimes. The victim, Ross Flynn was in jail for being accused of pulling a gun on his neighbor — a crime of which later he’d be found not guilty.

This is one of the weirdest stories I’ve heard in a long time. So very weird that I have to call BS (baloney sandwiches) on the whole darned thing.
Last week, 8500 people were sent to the hospital in Melbourne, Australia during a period of five hours due to a freak storm that caused what authorities are referring to as “thunderstorm asthma.” An ambulance was dispatched every 4.5 seconds during the peak of the storm, and eight people died. A man who discovered a real-life pot of gold was captured on surveillance video apparently stealing it from the back of an armored truck in broad daylight. The aluminum pail was filled with 86 pounds of gold flakes, worth an estimated $1.6 million.
The alleged theft happened earlier this fall in midtown Manhattan, on Sept. 29 at about 4:30 p.m., according to a news release from the New York Police Department on Tuesday.

Charlotte, NC — The Charlotte police officer who killed Keith Lamont Scott will not be charged. In a news conference on Wednesday, R. Andrew Murray, the Mecklenburg County district attorney, said he was “entirely convinced” that Police Officer Brentley Vinson “was lawful in using deadly force.”

As part of the Morton County Sheriff’s Department’s effort to quash the movement camped in opposition to construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline, national chain ACE hardware stores have been instructed by law enforcement not to sell any incendiary devices — that includes propane tanks Standing Rock Sioux water protectors partially rely on for heat in the bitter winter conditions.
In other words, law enforcement has effectively quashed the sale of potentially life-saving supplies to those encamped at Standing Rock as bitter winter conditions grip the Oceti Sakowin and other camps.
