The fatal shooting of a dog by law enforcement officers in Michigan late last year was premeditated, according to the attorney of the pet’s owner.

On November 22, officers shot and killed Brittany Preston’s 1-year-old mixed breed Labrador named Lexie in St. Clair Shores, Michigan.

On July 15, Preston’s attorney, Chris Olson, filed a federal lawsuit against the city, police officers David Jacquemain and Jeremy Moskwa, and animal control officer Tom Massey. New York City police officers are under investigation for using a chokehold, a move banned under NYPD rules, on a man accused of skipping subway fare. The incident occurred three days before Eric Garner died during a similar arrest.

Videos posted online show two New York Police Department officers wrangling with Ronald Johns, 22, on July 14 while using the banned technique. The officers are also seen punching Johns in the face. At least 19 children and a bus driver have been killed after a school bus collided with a train in southern India. The death toll may rise as many of the injured are in critical condition, Indian officials told local media.

At least 16 children aged between 7 and 14 years were injured and taken to hospital, police officer Ravi Nallamala told AP.

In the past four months, 2000 Americans have been killed by that which is coming over our southern border, the illegal invasion, and we are told we must accept this situation and spend billions catering to the children being used as a human shield for this invasion.

Nine persons were arrested at the entrance to Homrich, a demolition contractor working on a $5.6 million deal to perform the water shutoffs on residents. The rally outside the gate started at 6:30am and went for seven hours before arrests were made. Police believed the group would disperse and head to the rally downtown at Hart Plaza. The group however showed their commitment holding the gate after that rally had started. This is the second week of arrests at the entrance and the second time in the last 10 years protesters were arrested in Detroit.
