American Nurse Practitioner is going through medical notes for cancer patients and what she’s seeing is extremely concerning

She shows oncology notes that recommend patients be given so much chemo they reach the point of “intolerable toxicity”

“Do you think the patient knows the goal is to continue with this chemo until intolerable toxicity? — We need better in medicine. We need better than let’s do chemo until it poisons you so bad that you can’t take it anymore”

“There’s got to be more. Nothing in there about changing your diet, about eating real food, about avoiding toxins, avoiding microplastics, strengthening your immune system, exercising, doing what you can, avoiding sugars… nothing about any of that. Just continue with chemo every 4 weeks until intolerable toxicity”

I can tell you in 2 seconds why there is no patient notes about lifestyle changes, it’s all about profit

In America, one chemotherapy session can be as much as $15,000+ dollars and patients might have to get them weekly

Without insurance a full course of treatment is all over $100,000 typically. It’s so expensive that even with insurance this is how many patients reach their out of pocket maximum on their plans

It’s all about profit

Ohh and I looked it up, there is substantial evidence that several of the lifestyle changes that she mentioned can make a meaningful difference for people with cancer

But those aren’t brought up…. Only the expensive treatment options are recommended

The new technology in vehicles that constantly monitors you is getting out of control

This American went out of town so she got a rental car. She’s in a new place with beautiful scenery so she’s looking around at it as she drives. This is unacceptable for the car

– It uses an infrared camera to watch the driver’s eyes and head position in real time
– If it decides your eyes or head aren’t facing forward long enough, as short as 2 seconds, it flashes a visual warning and often beeps with a “keep your eyes on the road” message
– It also watches for eye closure ratio and head nodding

It can recognize up to 5 registered drivers with facial geometry. It maps distances between eyes, nose, mouth and more

The last thing I would want when buying a car is a monitoring system telling me I can’t glance at the scenery

BREAKING: 🇵🇱🇮🇱 Israel spied on all of Poland using software—allegedly intended for catching criminals—that it had sold to the country

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has called the Pegasus spyware scandal a "crime against the state," accusing the previous PiS government of exposing sensitive data on thousands of Polish citizens, including opposition figures and independent prosecutors, to Israeli company NSO Group without oversight.

Tusk said Poland spent over PLN 60 million on the spyware, including PLN 25 million from a fund for crime victims and over PLN 30 million paid to the Israeli supplier.

He said Polish intelligence confirmed that Israeli entities controlled the system, while its contract restricted surveillance of Russian, Belarusian, and North Korean numbers but permitted monitoring of Polish, French, and German citizens.

He called the affair one of Poland’s biggest scandals since the fall of communism and vowed to hold those responsible accountable.

Two police officers walked into a 92-year-old man’s bedroom and gave him a choice: pepper spray or a Taser. He was sitting in a wheelchair.

Donald Burgess was an amputee with dementia living in a care home in St Leonards-on-Sea, England. He’d threatened staff with a dinner knife, but a senior police official later admitted he was alone in his room and posed no risk to anyone. Instead of calming him down, the officers pepper sprayed him, hit him with a baton, and Tasered him. He went to the hospital, caught Covid, and died 22 days later. The two officers were cleared of assault in court but have now been fired for gross misconduct and banned from policing. I back the police 100%, and that’s exactly why officers like these have to go. Good cops deserve better than being lumped in with this.

Colombian authorities rescued 17 children from the Jewish Lev Tahor sect during a raid at a hotel, amid allegations of child abuse, kidnapping, forced marriages, pregnancies, and child trafficking.

The children were kidnapped from their families, suggesting a possible trafficking operation disguised as religious activity.

The rescued children include citizens of the United States, Guatemala, and Canada.

American is 37 years old, she had a heart attack 2 weeks ago

She has Cigna for her health insurance and they just mailed her a letter saying “after carefully reviewing the information, we determined the service is not medically necessary.” Her bill is $110,000 for staying in the ER for 2 days

“They don’t think that saving my life was medically necessary — My total bill so far is currently at $110,000, is how much it costs to save my life. I’m sure there’s more bills coming still, but Cigna doesn’t think that it was medically necessary”

We need health insurance reform and we need it right now in America. Our entire medical system has been turned into a for profit scam

Just know if something like this happens to you, there is Federal Law that essentially says it has to be covered

Federal law under the ACA and No Surprises Act rules requires coverage of emergency services based on the prudent layperson standard: whether a reasonable person with average knowledge of health and medicine, looking at the symptoms at the time, would believe immediate care was needed to avoid serious harm

This just shows that coverage for this woman should have never been denied
