Beijing confirmed that the PLA Navy will launch a joint naval exercise with the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean Sea early next year, reports the state-run Global Times.

The announcement was made after Sergei Shoigu, the Russian defense minister, visited China and Pakistan.

Russia is apparently seeking support from its security partners to establish a new alliance against US influence from the Far East to Europe. It also allows China a chance to demonstrate its naval power on the Mediterranean Sea, considered traditionally Western waters for centuries.   Continue reading “Russia, China plan for 2nd naval exercise in Mediterranean”

One billion barrels of oil have officially been produced from the Eagle Ford shale formation.

More than 70 percent of the production from the shale has occurred during the last two years alone, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The good news, however, comes as the future of Texas’ gas and oil industry looks somewhat bleak. As Saudi Arabia continues to inundate the U.S. with cheap oil, some Texas producers could be pushed out of the global energy market. The Saudis’ recent efforts have already wiped “hundreds of billions of dollars in equity value from the market capitalization of U.S.-traded securities,” the Dallas Morning News reported.     Continue reading “1 Billion Barrels of Oil Produced from Texas’ Eagle Ford Shale”

This week, State Senator Jerry Hill (D-San Mateo) formally requested that Governor Jerry Brown impose a moratorium on oil trains after a Union Pacific freight train carrying grain derailed along the Feather River in Northern California last week. Yet with California the second largest consumer of energy and state production of crude oil cut in half, the Brown administration has no intention of banning trains bringing in cheap North Dakota crude oil at $49.69 a barrel. Without oil trains, Brown’s climate change initiatives will cause California energy prices to skyrocket.   Continue reading “Brown Needs Oil Trains to Prevent Skyrocketing Energy Prices”

According to Gov. Jerry Brown’s top policy aide, Brown wants to let illegal immigrants protected by Barack Obama’s new executive amnesty become eligible for state-funded Medi-Cal coverage.

Nancy McFadden, speaking Wednesday at an event run by the leftist Public Policy Institute of California, implied that one hurdle to Brown’s action would be the cost, according to the Los Angeles Times: “We’re still evaluating, but the president’s recent action on undocumented immigrants could perhaps open a door for more coverage of more people under Medi-Cal. We’re looking at that. That, of course, is going to cost money.’’   Continue reading “Brown Looking to Allow Illegals Access to Medi-Cal”

Before the Secret Service guys could get to him, 3 kids who were fishing pulled him out of the water. He was so grateful he offered the kids whatever they wanted.

The first kid said, ‘I want to go to Disney World & Barrack said, ‘No problem, I’ll take you there on Air Force One.’   Continue reading “3 kids fishing”

Police brutality is a lot like professional football in Canada. Most people in the United States don’t even realize they have it, and those who do assume it’s just some pussified version more befitting the rampant politeness that we’ve come to associate with that frosty-ass country.
