World Events and the Bible

WEB Notes: These people should pray to God and ask for direction. God has always had His followers take a stand and fight. This is recorded all throughout the Bible. The Apostle Peter was an expert swordsman who cut off the ear of a solider who came to take Christ away. That simply could not have been accomplished by someone who was inexperienced with the sword. The take away here is that we are to protect our own and make a stand. We do not allow someone to break into our homes and harm our families or we become worse than an infidel. We are to be at peace with our neighbors IF possible. It is not always possible to be at peace.   Continue reading “Iraqi Christians Weigh Taking Up Arms Against the Islamic State”

When the US Army looks to the future, it sees cities. Dense, sprawling, congested cities where criminal and extremist groups flourish almost undetected by authorities, but who can influence the lives of the population while undermining the authority of the state.

And the service is convinced that these “megacities” of 20 million or more people will be the battleground of the future.   Continue reading “U.S. Army Sees ‘Megacities’ As the Future Battlefield”

If you’ve ever walked into a post office while carrying your firearm, then you’ve broken the law. Up until a few months ago, even if you drove into the parking lot with your firearm, you were also breaking the law.

Update: It seems that the case referenced in the link above only applies to a certain Post Office. Referencing numerous news articles (below), it sounds as though it covers the entire Country, but this does not seem to be the case. Who knows, really. It’s meant to be as confusing as possible.   Continue reading “If You Ever Go To The Post Office, You May Be Breaking The Law”

Prominent celebrities and leaders of the Congressional Black Caucus have endorsed a major nationalization of local police forces with an August 25 letter to President Obama, calling for creation of a federal police “czar” and greater federal controls over law enforcement in the wake of the Ferguson, Missouri, shooting and protests.

“The Administration must appoint a federal Czar,” the letterstates, “housed in the U.S. Department of Justice, who is specifically tasked with promoting the professionalization of local law enforcement, monitoring egregious law enforcement activities, and adjudicating suspicious actions of local law enforcement agencies that receive federal funding.”    Continue reading “Celebrities, Congressional Black Caucus: Let’s Nationalize Police”

An experimental drug for Ebola known as ZMapp has failed, according to new reports, after a top Liberian doctor who was given the untested medication recently died. According to Lewis Brown, Liberia’s Information Minister, Dr. Abraham Borbor seemed to be improving after being given ZMapp but suddenly “took a turn for the worse,” calling into question the effectiveness of the experimental drug.

Borbor was among three Liberian doctors who were given ZMapp, which initially appeared to be working as intended. But the deputy chief medical doctor at the largest hospital in the country, the John F. Kennedy Medical Center, suddenly reversed course, passing just days after it appeared as though he would likely experience full recovery. A Colorado veteran says he was denied a ride on the Grand Valley Transit system because of his service dog.

Richard Palmer’s dog, Zipper, is a psychiatric service animal who helps him with post traumatic stress and a brain injury.

“He calms my nerves, so I don’t get anxiety in crowds of people,” Palmer told KJCT. “He keeps me focused and on track.”

Palmer said he rode the bus with Zipper for months before the bus driver decided Zipper isn’t a service dog, but a “comfort” dog.   Continue reading “Veteran Kicked Off Bus Because Of Service Dog”

Mexican Cartels Considering Major AllianceBefore it’s News

Several of Mexico’s major drug cartels are pursuing an alliance, capital daily Reforma said Friday, citing unnamed intelligence sources.

The Juarez organization and Los Zetas are among the groups trying to create a “cartel of cartels,” the newspaper said in a front-page story.

The impetus to band together comes after each of the criminal outfits has experience significant setbacks, the sources told Reforma.

Senior figures from the Jalisco Nueva Generacion Cartel, the Juarez-based mob run by the Carrillo Fuentes family, Los Zetas and the Beltran Leyva cartel met in June in Piedras Negras, a city in the northern border state of Coahuila, according to the sources.    Continue reading “Mexican Cartels Considering Major Alliance”

The DOJ claims that the north Minneapolis town broke a federal law when it rejected the center in 2012.

“An injustice has been done,” U.S. Attorney Andrew Luger said on August 27. “I will not stand by while any religious group is subject to unconstitutional treatment that violates federal civil rights laws.”

The DOJ claims that the city violated the law when it refused the Abu Huraira Islamic Center the right to create an Islamic cultural center in the basement of the St. Anthony Business Center. The DOJ cites a violation of the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act that was enacted in the year 2000.   Continue reading “Obama’s DOJ Sues Minnesota City For Rejecting Islamic Center”

A woman in Ohio was on a walk with her dog, one that she’s taken hundreds of times before. This time however, she was met by two men who came out of the bushes with baseball bats and said “You’re coming with us”. The men were not deterred by her dog.

They were deterred however, by the firearm that the woman drew from her purse and quickly pointed toward them.

I have this and I’m not afraid to use it.

As you probably have already guessed, this sent the two men fleeing at a quick pace.

The woman, Dinah Burns, has her Ohio concealed carry permit and says that she just recently started carrying it with her while out on her walks. Continue reading “CCW IN ACTION: Ohio Woman Wasn’t Abducted Thanks To Her Concealed Carry Firearm”

SACRAMENTO Calif. (Reuters) – California’s lawmakers ended a two-year session on Saturday with a package of bills that reflected deep disagreement over pressing issues including undocumented migrants, the social safety net and measures to cope with a severe drought.

In the final hours, they approved a ban on plastic grocery bags in the most populous U.S. state, a measure allowing guns to be temporarily removed from potentially violent people and campaign finance reforms spurred by a series of ethics scandals.

The session started with bold ambitions on the part of progressive Democrats, whose party controls both houses of the legislature and all statewide elective offices.    Continue reading “California lawmakers end session with bills on plastic bags, gun control”

U.K. May Make Psychological Abuse, Humiliation Jailable OffensesThe New American – by Selwyn Duke

Polygamy may still be illegal in most of the West, but, increasingly, marriages today often include more than just two members: husband, wife — and Big Brother. The latest example is a proposal in the United Kingdom that would make actions such as “bullying” and withholding money in intimate relationships jailable offenses. Writes the Telegraph’s David Barrett:

Husbands who keep their wives downtrodden could face prison under new plans set out by the Government today.

Theresa May, the Home Secretary, published proposals for a new offence of “domestic abuse” that would criminalise men or women who bully, cause psychological harm or deny money to their partners.   Continue reading “U.K. May Make Psychological Abuse, Humiliation Jailable Offenses”

A number of countries around the world have now completely banned GM food and the pesticides that go with them, or have severe restrictions against them. This comes after the world has experienced a massive resistance against Monsanto and other biotech giants that manufacture GMOs and pesticides.

It’s (the resistance) also a result of numerous studies that have emerged showing the environmental and health dangers that are associated with pesticides, as well as health dangers that could be associated with GMOs.   Continue reading “Monsanto Loses GMO Permit In Mexico – Judge Sides With The Bees”
