HR Bill 1599, also known as the DARK ACT (Monsanto’s favorite bill that would effectively ruin the food supply and halt GMO labeling initiatives) has been stopped cold in Congress. After thousands of letters and activists railing against this dangerous legislation, no anti-GMO labeling provisions were allowed in the must-pass Omnibus spending bill.
What’s even better? A provision requires the FDA to develop labeling guidelines before it’s sold in America. Though Bill 1599 was titled the ‘Safe and Accurate Labeling Act,’ it is nothing short of a way for Monsanto and Big Food companies to keep Americans from observing their democratic right to know if their food contained genetically modified ingredients. The House passed Rep. Paul Ryan’s $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill, negotiated with Rep. Nancy Pelosi. A majority of House Republicans voted for the measure, which fully funds Obama’s refugee resettlement operation, all Mideast immigration programs, Sanctuary Cities, Obama’s continued executive amnesty for DREAMers, and the resettlement of illegal aliens within the U.S. interior.

US forces flown to Libya to support government troops had to leave after landing because of demands from a local militia group, US officials say.

Back in 2014, civil liberties and privacy advocates were up in arms when the government tried to quietly push through the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act, or CISA, a law which would allow federal agencies – including the NSA – to share cybersecurity, and really any information with private corporations “notwithstanding any other provision of law.” The most vocal complaint involved CISA’s information-sharing channel, which was ostensibly created for responding quickly to hacks and breaches,and which provided a loophole in privacy laws that enabled intelligence and law enforcement surveillance without a warrant. The Texas teenager whose trial on drunk driving charges included a defense witness saying that he was afflicted with “affluenza” may be on the run from his parole, ABC News reports.
Ethan Couch, 18, was convicted of four counts of intoxication manslaughter in 2013 but was not sentenced to any jail time; instead he was given 10 years’ probation — a punishment considered a mere slap on the wrist by critics, and one that outraged the victims’ families. The U.S. Senate passed sweeping fiscal legislation on Friday averting a government shutdown, locking in billions of dollars of tax breaks and scrapping a 40-year-old ban on the export of U.S. oil.

Disney who purchased Star Wars from George Lucas in 2012, announced they’re introducing DHS/TSA style checkpoints with metal detectors in ALL their parks! Disney, has also banned parents from wearing costumes at their parks!
According to Deadline, “it is understood that armed guards will be on duty…”

On June 8th, 2015, Nikki and Rodney Wisler of Anderson, Indiana, noticed bruises on their one-month old daughter Leigh Ann. They took her to Community Hospital Anderson’s Emergency Room, as advised by their pediatrician over the phone. The concerned parents worried that their new baby might have a genetic disorder that caused the bruises, since their 2.5 year-old daughter Caridie had been diagnosed with a genetic disorder the previous year. Khanly Saycon II said his family does not know why his brother, 39-year-old Mharloun Verdejo Saycon, was involved in the confrontation with officers at Looff’s Lite-A-Line Casino Game of Skill. A rural Virginia school district canceled classes and a holiday concert after being flooded with angry messages over a school calligraphy lesson that involved copying a Muslim statement of faith in Arabic.
Tens of thousands of emails and Facebook posts have been received, some “threatening and very profane in nature,” said Augusta County Sheriff Randall D. Fisher. No specific threats have been made, though Fisher said he has dedicated an investigator to comb through the messages as a precaution. Paul Ryan has decided to put on his candy-cane striped tights and shoes with little bells on the toes and play Christmas elf for the Democrats, delivering every gift they asked Santa for this year. His “omnibus” spending bill gives Obama funding for his Syrian refugee scheme, Planned Parenthood, Obamacare, amnesty, NSA domestic spying, sanctuary cities for illegals, eliminates the budget sequester, and much more. The bill is another 2,000 page whale that has become so common in the Obama era, so there hasn’t even been enough time yet to parse the bill and find out what’s in it. Doesn’t that sound like a former Speaker of the House? And I’m not talking about John Boehner. No, in one fell swoop, Paul Ryan has turned out to be even worse than John Boehner. On Wednesday, President Barack Obama met with former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg to talk about gun violence. Specifically, the pair talked about what can be done to end the threat that America’s loose standards for access to them poses to public safety.
“The two discussed ways to keep guns out of the hands of those who should not have access to them, and what more could be done at the state and local level to help address gun violence in America,” the White House said of their meeting. The Democratic National Committee has told the campaign of Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont that it was suspending its access to its voter database after a software error enabled at least one of his staff members to review Hillary Clinton’s private campaign data.
The decision by the party committee is a major blow to Mr. Sanders’s campaign. The database includes information from voters across the nation and is used by campaigns to set strategy, especially in the early voting states. GALENA, Kan. — The FBI plans to pay for damages to a Galena home where its agents and officers from other law enforcement agencies unsuccessfully sought a man wanted on felony charges in Missouri, said Cherokee County Sheriff David Groves.
Groves said he didn’t have an estimate of the damages at 1009 E. Fifth St. where multiple law enforcement agencies believed Doug Alexius, 40, who is said to be a member of the Joplin Honkies gang, had holed up.
