LOS ANGELES (CN) — California does not violate the equal protection rights of other licensed gun owners by allowing only retired peace officers to carry guns in schools, a federal judge has ruled.

In April, 11 individuals with licenses to carry guns and several gun rights groups sued Attorney General Kamala Harris over an exemption that allows former peace officers to carry guns in schools.   Continue reading “Retired Officers Exempt From CA School Gun Ban”

Is it possible to predict whether someone will commit a crime some time in the future?

It sounds like an idea from the 2002 science-fiction movie Minority Report.

DALLAS, March 16, 2014 — Honey, that delectable condiment for breads and fruits, could be one sweet solution to the serious, ever-growing problem of bacterial resistance to antibiotics, researchers said here today.

Medical professionals sometimes use honey successfully as a topical dressing, but it could play a larger role in fighting infections, the researchers predicted. Their study was part of the 247th National Meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the world’s largest scientific society.   Continue reading “Honey is a new approach to fighting antibiotic resistance: How sweet it is!”

A group of special interest lawyers who support illegal immigration are pushing the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to produce a list of immigration judges who are hostile to undocumented immigrants.

Amplifying the growing crackdown on dissent and specifically the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement for Palestinian rights, the Israeli government this weekend unveiled a new initiative to track and deport activists suspected of supporting the campaign.

Strategic Affairs Minister Gilad Erdan and Interior Minister Arye Dery on Sunday announced the creation of a new government task force charged with gathering intelligence on pro-Palestininian activists and organizations with the intent, as Haaretz put it, of collecting enough evidence to legally deport them from Israel or the occupied West Bank.   Continue reading “Israel Calls on Citizens to Track and Report Activists in ‘Ruthless’ War Against BDS”

A new fall semester is about to begin. And while American college students struggle to pay for their higher education and long to be the fortunate recipients of college scholarships, illegal immigrants find their path lined with institutionalized supports, loads of scholarship money — and a healthy dose of “go get ’em kid,” as they break U.S. law.

This isn’t an underground network of support. These entities who push avenues for illegals to obtain higher education are hiding in plain sight.   Continue reading “Colleges across the country give new perks to illegal immigrant students”

I still scan the headlines every morning, probably because old habits die hard, but I can’t help noticing that the news is becoming increasingly irrelevant.

To exemplify that statement, here’s next week’s news: Whatever the president says will be another pathetic lie, the murderous cops will be not be charged, the mass shooting will be a staged event, and a billionaire will bankroll riots carried out by useful idiots in an attempt to sway public opinion, and justify more tyranny.

The economy will continue to crash, as our military continues to drop some very expensive bombs on innocent people, and a pedophile politician will insist that all the bombing victims were terrorists.   Continue reading “The News”

Sacramento, CA — Joseph Mann, 50, used to work for the Department of Corrections until he had a mental breakdown in 2011 following the death of his mother. Since then, this mentally ill man has peacefully lived on the streets of Sacramento — until last month when he was shot 18 times and killed as he fled from police.

Mann’s family has since filed a wrongful death suit against the Sacramento police department for the killing of their family member on July 11.   Continue reading “Video Refutes Official Police Narrative, Shows Them Shoot, Kill Mentally Ill Man as He Fled”

No government really wants an unrestricted, heavily armed population, least of all the United States government. They have been trying to hinder the Second Amendment in every which way they can for decades, sometimes successfully. They’re always trying to find a new angle that will allow them to chip away at our ability to own and operate firearms.

The latest angle comes courtesy of the Department of State, who last month decided to redefine gunsmithing as a “manufacturing” activity under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Essentially, gunsmiths will now have to register themselves as manufacturers under ITAR, regardless of whether or not they are considered manufacturers under the Gun Control Act of 1968. And once they’re registered, they’ll have to pay an annual fee of $2,250.   Continue reading “Why The Government Is Targeting Gunsmiths With Ridiculous Fees”

Hillary Clinton has a new champion: the homophobic father of the Orlando gay nightclub terrorist.

Seddique Mateen was seen sitting just feet from the Democratic nominee during her Kissimmee, Florida rally on Monday night.

It was no coincidence: the space behind the stage — directly facing the TV cameras — is always arranged by campaign staffers for the appearance of maximum diversity.   Continue reading “Orlando Nightclub Terrorist’s Father Sits Behind Hillary At Kissimmee Rally”

The University of Wisconsin-Stout has decided to take down historical paintings that show interactions between white settlers and First Nations people because of their potentially “harmful” effects on students and viewers. The move was sparked by complaints from a diversity group.

One of the paintings shows French fur traders canoeing down the Red Cedar River with American Indians; the other is of a French fort. Both were painted by artist Cal Peters in 1936 and were recently restored with funding by the Wisconsin Historical Society.   Continue reading “Wisconsin College Removes Historical Paintings of Native Americans After Diversity Group Complains”

So far, 16 people have been infected in the Miami area. The Palm Beach case brings the state’s tally to 17.   Continue reading “Florida is investigating apparent new case of locally transmitted Zika”
