Iran threatened to shoot down two US Navy surveillance aircraft flying close to Iranian territory in the Persian Gulf over the weekend, the latest in a series of recent provocations between Iran and the US military in the region, three US defense officials with knowledge of the incident told Fox News.

Israel’s military said Syrian regime forces attempted to down Israeli aircraft as they flew over the war-torn country on Tuesday, after Israel had responded to errant fire across its border by attacking Syrian army positions.

Officer Justin Valutsky closed one of the rear doors, which had been ajar, and told them to stay in the car. He peered into the drivers’ side window of the white Hyundai SUV and asked what the teens were doing there. UPDATE:Birmingham police on Monday said four men and two women were shot in Gate City Sunday night – two of them with life-threatening injuries. Bobby Clayton, 20, died and the other remains hospitalized.

The preliminary investigation shows one of the victims is a teen who had a previous altercation with a black male seen driving a red Ford Mustang. Witnesses told police that both men started shooting at each other, and that it appeared the teen started shooting first. It’s not exactly clear why America’s military personnel are getting fatter. Could be that 15 years of war have weakened the focus on fitness. Could be that millennials, with their penchant for sedentary activities like playing video games and killing time on social media, aren’t always up to the rigors of military life. Could be all the burgers, fries, cakes and pies served in chow halls around the world.
