Sorry to hear: A good friend of mine, after 7 yrs of medical school and training has been fired for one minor indiscretion. He slept with one of his patients and can no longer work in the profession.
What a waste of time, effort, training and money. He’s still paying off his school loans. This just goes to show you, one minor mistake can ruin your life.
Thoughts and prayers for him and his family. He really is a great guy and a brilliant veterinarian.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate’s top leaders announced Wednesday they have sealed agreement on a two-year budget pact that would shower both the Pentagon and domestic programs with almost $300 billion above existing limits, giving wins to both GOP defense hawks and Democrats seeking billions for infrastructure projects and combatting opioid abuse.
The agreement is likely to be added to a stopgap spending bill that passed the House on Tuesday and is aimed at averting a government shutdown Thursday at midnight. Continue reading “Senate leaders announce two-year budget pact”
It’s not exactly an immigrant visa, though it does allow for foreigners to work legally in the United States for at least two years. But it is one of the most controversial immigration topics after building a wall and the “Dreamers.”
The H-1B visa, dominated by the big three Indian outsourcers, is in more demand this year than last. And nearly double where it was in 2016. The visa program has been roundly criticized mostly by American tech workers who have either been replaced by H-1B recipients or believe their pay has been stalled out because of competition from abroad. Sweet Jesus is an absurdly popular ice cream chain that’s been around for a few years and is quickly expanding in Canada and the United States. Deemed “Toronto’s Most Overrated Ice Cream” by the Globe and Mail, Sweet Jesus nevertheless attracts huge crowds on a daily basis. The chain has been enjoying lots of media coverage and because its stores are custom-made to be “Instagrammable”, Sweet Jesus is all over social media. Trump has completely lost whatever grains of sand he has left under his orange hair. Not only is this a ridiculous idea, making America look like a bunch of idiots, but to soldier out a military parade just because he visited France and thought their parade looked neat, makes America look ridiculous.
American military couldn’t even protect the Twin Towers from crumbling to the ground, and this clown wants to hold a parade honoring them. Not a good idea Comrade Trump! Continue reading “American Military Parade Now? – What The Hell Are We Celebrating?”

The pro-police page, Thin Blue Line either just had one helluva a come to Jesus experience, have been hacked, or made one of the most insane admissions by police we have ever seen. Regardless of the motive behind the post, however, the internet is destroying them.
Below is a screen capture of the post which advocates killing children for being bad. The post reads as follows: “Parents, Please stop telling your children that we will haul them off to jail if they are bad. We are far more likely to shoot them, regardless of how they behave. …Far more likely.” Continue reading “Police Facebook Page Tells Parents to Respect the Gun or They will Kill Their Kids”

When immigration opponents say America is being used as a “dumping ground” for the Third World, that’s not just a figure of speech.
From Fox News:
An illegal immigrant caught urinating in public in Maryland used a box-cutter to viciously attack a man who suggested he use a bathroom, according to a report Tuesday.

Billions of viruses fall from the sky every day, according to new research which could explain why genetically identical viruses are often found in very different environments around the world.
In a scientific first, a team of international researchers recorded the number of viruses being swept up daily from the Earth’s surface into the free troposphere – the lowest layer of the atmosphere, in which nearly all weather occurs. PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pennsylvania already figured prominently in Democrats’ attempt to win back control of the U.S. House. A decision this week in a long-running redistricting case is set to give those efforts a boost.
The U.S. Supreme Court declined to intervene after the state’s high court declared unconstitutional Pennsylvania’s existing House map, which had been heavily gerrymandered by Republicans. A reshuffled map is expected to make several districts friendlier for Democratic candidates in November. Continue reading “Pennsylvania redistricting decision gives Democrats a boost”
