Just over five months ago, authorities say officer Paul Pappas clocked in for the evening shift, climbed in his unmarked patrol car and drove to New Brunswick to slash his ex-girlfriend’s car tire.

The brazen, bizarre incident — in which the 43-year-old cop, in full uniform, was found underneath his ex’s car cutting the woman’s tire — was captured on a nearby security camera, leading to his arrest, according to the police report obtained by NJ Advance Media.  Continue reading “In Edison, a police force under investigation braces for more arrests”

A federal judge told a Virginia sheriff’s deputy that he had no right to pull over a car because a passenger flipped him off. On Friday, proceedings advanced in the lawsuit against Patrick County Lieutenant Rob Coleman. US District Judge Jackson L. Kiser had found sufficient evidence to bring the matter to trial.

Brian H. Clark, the irreverent passenger, has a history of annoying authority. In 2016, Judge Martin F. Clark Jr (no relation) banned Brian Clark from entering the county courthouse clerk’s office without a lawyer. The judge complained that Clark annoyed his staff with “numerous emails, letters and filings,” and the state Supreme Court upheld the order.   Continue reading “Federal Judge Upholds Right To Flip Off Virginia Cops”

In the 1950s and 1960s the United States was a vibrant society. Upward mobility was strong, and the middle class expanded. During the 1970s the internal contradiction in Keynesian demand management resulted in stagflation. Reagan’s supply-side economic policy cured that. With a sound economy under him, Reagan was able to pressure the Soviet government, which was unable to solve its economic problem, to negotiate the end of the cold war.   Continue reading “Watching America Collapse — Existence is running out for America, says Paul Craig Roberts.”

For some time I have been telling my readers that we can expect a worldwide Depression far worse than 1933 because we have more Unpayable Debts to cancel than at any time in history. We do not have a non-interest bearing currency Like President Lincoln’s Greenbacks or the British Bradford pound of WW I.

We compound our errors by allowing banks to create checking account money that enables them to charge us interest on money they create out of nothing. This generates enormous quantities of Unpayable Debts. This in turn sets us up for another Great Depression. My regular readers know three million Americans starved to death in the last Depression in the 1930s.   Continue reading “We’re All Boers Now: Slow-Motion Genocide In South Africa. Here is the result of America’s neofeudalism: soaring wealth and income inequality.

Let’s spin the time machine back to the late Middle Ages, at the height of feudalism, and imagine we’re trying to get a boatload of goods to the nearest city to sell. As we drift down the river, we’re constantly being stopped and charged a fee for transiting one small fiefdom after another. When we finally reach the city, there’s an entry fee for bringing our goods to market.   Continue reading “To Understand America’s Neofeudal Economy, Start with Extortion”

A new study published by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences on August 20 reveals that the militarization of law enforcement in the United States does not make communities safer nor does it enhance officer safety.

Study author Jonathan Mummolo conducted a statistical analysis on crime rates and officer safety data from Maryland, using an expired law — in effect between 2010-2014 — required that police agencies submit reports on how often they use SWAT teams.  Continue reading “New Report Details US Public Less Safe Under Militarized Police”

We were sitting at the house waiting for a day of clear weather and got lucky Saturday last week. I asked Henry if he had any good ideas of what the hell to do and he nailed it, a 3 V8 engine flat bottom rocket ship flying through part the Rouge River system at over 50 MPH, with an included dinner half way through.

Don’t get to see my people with great big smiles on their faces too often, but Saturday had all of us grinning ear to ear, hauling ass in a friggin’ jet boat doing 360’s at 50 mph. Talk about some goddamn fun, kids….   Continue reading “Rouge River Rafting – Mark, Henry, and Laura get a little wet”
