An arrest has been made by Hackensack Police after a woman inside a local Staples was allegedly attacked after asking another customer to put on a face mask. According to Hackensack Police, 25-year-old Terri Thomas from Hackensack was arrested and charged today with Aggravated Assault, a second degree offense.
UPDATE 8-5-20, According to police, Thomas turned herself in after detectives went to her residence and family members told her. “She came in on her own,” said Capt. You may have noticed that food prices have started to go up very aggressively. I repeatedly warned my readers that this is precisely what would happen, and more price increases are on the way. Fear of COVID-19 has sparked a tremendous amount of extra demand as Americans have feverishly stocked up their pantries, and at the same time the virus has made it very difficult for the major food companies to keep up. Over the past several months we have seen a large number of food production facilities close down temporarily, food supply chains have been thrown into a state of chaos, and grocery stores have found it increasingly difficult to keep their shelves full. Many years ago I remember sitting in an Econ 101 class as a very young college student, and one of the things that I learned was that prices are going to rise when supply goes down and demand goes up. Democrats in Congress have introduced an anti-gun measure to regulate machinery that is designed for manufacturing firearm frames or receivers.
The bill, titled H.R.7468, and referred to as the “Stop Home Manufacturing of Ghost Guns Act of 2020” aims to restrict ownership of firearms manufacturing devices for private citizens without a FFL or a manufacturer that produces these machines for FLL’s. Sen. Mike Lee’s latest version of S.286 creates a novel “Green Card Lite” legal status to help Fortune 500 companies import many more Indian graduates into U.S. white collar jobs.
“That’s a game changer from the original bill,” said a tweet from a top ranking immigration lawyer Greg Siskind. It gives people “most of the benefits of a green card,” said Siskind, who is working with hospital chains to expand the pipeline of foreign nurses and doctors into U.S. hospitals.
