WASHINGTON (AP) — The United States on Friday abruptly warned Americans not to visit Cuba and ordered more than half its Havana embassy personnel to leave the island in a dramatic response to mysterious recent “specific attacks” harming the health of U.S. diplomats.

The actions deal a blow to already delicate ties between the U.S. and Cuba, longtime adversaries who only recently began putting their hostility behind them. The embassy in Havana will lose roughly 60 percent of its U.S. staff, and will stop processing visas in Cuba indefinitely, officials said. Rule of law in Denmark is imploding as the police run out of resources. An incident back in 2016 underscores this: A mother in downtown Copenhagen had to witness her son being beating to a pulp by masked Arab migrants. During this attack, the devastated mother called law enforcement, but due to a lack of resources, police could not respond in a timely manner. Northern California police officer was arrested and accused of assaulting with his baton a man suspected of driving drunk, authorities said.

RCMP say a police dog managed to pull the trigger of a handgun and discharge the weapon after the animal located the discarded firearm following an assault outside a grocery store in Chestermere, Alta.

The police dog wasn’t injured in the incident, which happened Thursday evening in the community of about 20,000 people located just east of Calgary city limits.

JERUSALEM – Israeli officials believe that Iran is winning its bid for dominance in the Middle East, and they are mobilizing to counter the regional realignment that threatens to follow. The focus of Israel’s military and diplomatic campaign is Syria. Hundreds of criminal cases are impacted by the questionable conduct of Baltimore police officers, the city’s top prosecutor announced in a statement.

Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby’s office released the updated numbers Wednesday. She said the actions of eight officers indicted for racketeering have affected 295 cases, and three more incidents of questionable use of body-worn cameras have impacted a total of 569 cases.
