Local charity groups in southern Arizona report that “huge groups” of migrants recently apprehended by Border Patrol agents are being released into their care.

Breitbart Texas reported that Tucson and Yuma Sector Border Patrol officials described the illegal crossing of massive numbers of families and unaccompanied minors as a “humanitarian crisis.” The number of these classifications of migrants doubled in recent months. ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — President Donald Trump drew an enthusiastic response from a law-and-order crowd Monday, advocating the use of “stop and frisk” policing and saying he has directed the Justice Department to work with local officials in Chicago to stem violence in the nation’s third-largest city.

Fifty aircraft, 70 vessels, and around 10,000 land vehicles will take part in NATO’s Trident Juncture 18 drills, which are set to begin on October 25, with live field exercises continuing until November 7. JERUSALEM (Reuters) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s wife, Sara, appeared in court on Sunday for the first hearing in the fraud trial against her, in which she is alleged to have misused state funds in ordering catered meals.

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) – The owner of a store that sells hemp and smoke products says he’s not removing Cannabidiol, or CBD, oil from his shelves despite the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy calling it illegal.

E.R. Beaches owns three Hemptations stores in the Cincinnati area and one in Dayton. He says he’s been selling CBD oil products for going on seven years.

CHICAGO (AP) — A jury on Friday convicted white Chicago police Officer Jason Van Dyke of second-degree murder in the 2014 shooting of black teenager Laquan McDonald.

Van Dyke was charged with first degree-murder in the October 2014 killing, a charge that requires a finding that the shooting was unnecessary and unreasonable. The Senate passed the FAA Reauthorization Act on Wednesday, months after an earlier House vote in April. MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Most of the roughly 400 guns that were stolen from a United Parcel Service facility in Tennessee have been recovered in the Chicago area, federal authorities said Tuesday.

A 2-year-old boy is among the three dead after a mysterious car explosion this weekend in Allentown, Pennsylvania, authorities said, and one of the adults is suspected to have triggered it.

BEIJING (AP) — A Chinese destroyer came aggressively close to a U.S. Navy ship in the South China Sea, forcing it to maneuver to prevent a collision, the U.S. Pacific Fleet said Tuesday, describing an encounter that could worsen tensions between the nations.

A mom has been arrested for allowing her 10-year-old son to get a tattoo — by a teenage artist — because she was allegedly tired of the boy begging to get inked, according to Columbus, Ohio, TV station WSYX/WTTE.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — About 400 guns have been stolen from a United Parcel Service facility in Memphis, Tennessee, and authorities are concerned about the theft’s potential effect on public safety in this city and elsewhere.

Two people driving a U-Haul truck stole the weapons from a UPS facility in Memphis on Sunday, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said Monday. Barely an hour after California Gov. Jerry Brown signed what’s widely believed to be the toughest net neutrality law ever enacted in the US, the US DOJ announced that it would sue California to invalidate the new law, setting up yet another showdown between the federal government and the largest state in the union.

According to the Washington Post, California has become the largest state to adopt its own rules requiring Internet providers like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon to treat all web traffic equally. State lawmakers wrote their law after the FCC scrapped nationwide protections last year, citing the regulatory burdens they had caused for the telecom industry.
