ATLANTA (AP) — A U.S. Army colonel, his wife and a former defense contractor are accused of participating in what federal prosecutors call a bribery and kickback scheme connected to a Georgia military base.

An attacker threw an explosive device over the fence of the U.S. Embassy in Kiev that detonated in the early hours on Thursday, Reuters reported.
There were no injuries, according to the report. Authorities called the incident a terrorist act.

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) – A man who allegedly killed a 16-year-old boy on his birthday has pleaded guilty to federal charges that were filed in connection with the case.
Octavio Bringas-Posados, 50, pleaded guilty at the federal courthouse in the courtroom of Judge Shelly Dick Wednesday, June 7 to illegal possession of a firearm by a prohibited person (1 count) and illegal reentry (1 count). Brignas-Posadas and his attorney Mark Upton did not have a plea deal. WASHINGTON — President Trump announced Monday he would push to privatize the nation’s air traffic control system as part of a broader plan to pump more funding into American infrastructure.
In an East Room ceremony, Trump said he would ask Congress to transfer control of air traffic control operations from the Federal Aviation Administration to a private, nonprofit entity. The corporation’s board would be made up of airline, government and union personnel. He argued that this would increase the efficiency of an antiquated system. The same director that said I could set up a table in the Memorial room two weeks ago.
