You may have seen charts like the one to the right from the Economic Policy Institute, showing how working people’s wages stopped going up along with productivity gains.

This means the gains went…somewhere else. See if you can guess who got them? (Hint: it’s the 1 percent; this is one driver of the terrible income and wealth inequality.) This breakoff of wages from productivity growth is partly the result of trade agreements that pit Americans against exploited workers in non-democracies. This weakened the bargaining power of unions, moved factories and industries out of the country, devastated entire regions of our country — and gave the giant multinational corporations, Wall Street and the billionaires the leverage they needed. From the Trenches World Report keeps going down again and again.  This is starting to look like a deliberate attack.  Every time the site starts working correctly and our numbers start coming back, it is like a switch is being flipped.  I do not know the motive but I can tell you this.  The server SiteGround’s attitude is that I’m just one poor son of a bitch out here in the middle of nowhere and there is nothing that I can do about them.

We have paid every extortion demand, starting with the $29 per month we were told would be sufficient for our traffic to $68.95 per month (still wasn’t enough) to $107 per month where we are now.  And with no more traffic, the money has changed nothing and the site continues to fail. New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg has not weighed in on the race to succeed him, but he is reaching across the Hudson River to offer support to a key ally in his war against illegal guns.

Bloomberg announced Thursday morning that he is backing Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy (D) in his race for a third term against City Councilman Steve Fulop (D) in the May nonpartisan election. The price of a gallon of gasoline has risen for the past 34 days in a row as we Americans are being fleeced for the last few dollars we have left in our pockets.  It wasn’t that many years ago when the increase in gasoline prices was put forth as being in direct correlation with supply and demand.  When it finally reached the point that we Americans cut back on our gas consumption because we literally could not afford it anymore, the criminal oil cartels realized they had us right where they wanted us.

Hyderabad: At least 12 people are feared to have been killed in a series of explosions on Thursday evening which took place in Dilsukh Nagar bus stand area of Hyderabad. Two explosions took place in the Andhra Pradesh capital at around 7 pm. Following the blasts, the area was cordoned off. At least 57 people sustained injuries in the blasts.

Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde confirmed that at least 11 people had died in the two blasts. Addressing mediapersons in Delhi, the Home Minister said that while eight people had died in the first explosion, at least three people were killed in the second blast. He further said that the death toll was expected to rise. The Home Minister also said that it was too early to speak about who carried out the blasts.
