The final US troops withdrew from Afghanistan on Monday leaving behind a stockpile of expensive military equipment that has been quickly claimed by a triumphant Taliban.

Update: The property management company said oaks is hosting them for a mass religious/prayer gathering. Anything “in the name of religion” makes me skeptical, as we know the guise of religion has been used in very perverted ways.

The Bootleg fire is currently at 408,930 acres with 46% containment.

Yesterday, we took a ride through about twenty miles of the western edge of the already burned part of the fire.  Here are a few pictures we took along the way.  This is just a teeny tiny portion of the fire and it is still getting bigger.
