Free Thought Project – by Matt Agorist

Perris, CA — In the Land of the Free, if you do not pay the State before you attempt to sell a product or service to a willing customer, you can and will be extorted, kidnapped and caged, with extreme prejudice. A video published to Facebook this week shows a Perris police officer assault a woman who was selling flowers on the side of the road — because she apparently failed to pay the State for the privilege.

The video does not tell the entire story. However, it starts as the officer is grabbing a woman who is holding multiple sets of flowers, clearly arranged for sale on the roadside. So, based on the multiple instances previously covered by the Free Thought Project, we can assume that she was approached for the selling of flowers without a permit, especially considering the officers are not from ICE.   Continue reading “Woman Brutally Assaulted for Allegedly Selling Flowers With No Permit”

Israel has unveiled more details of its controversial plan to build an artificial island off the Gaza Strip.

The five billion euro project, which includes a cargo terminal and an airport, is designed, Israel says, to boost the impoverished Palestinian enclave’s economy and the humanitarian needs of its nearly two million residents.

The Islamist militant group Hamas has controlled Gaza for much of the past decade but Israel says it’s widely perceived as being responsible for the territory as it’s largely the only lifeline to it.   Continue reading “Israel unveils plans for artificial island off Gaza”

Sometimes you have to think that scientists don’t ever read science fiction, and thus have not even contemplated all the things that could go wrong when they do something like creating 20 million mosquitos in a laboratory, infecting them with a bacteria, and then releasing those mosquitos in Fresno, California.

First of all, did you even know that Google had a bio-lab?  They do and it’s called Verily. Which, I dunno, sounds rather biblical. “Verily, I say unto you…we are the purveyors of all that is The Truth.”   Continue reading “What Could Possibly Go Wrong When Google Releases Millions of “Lab-Made” Mosquitos in Fresno?”

The mother of three said she was told the child would require thousands of dollars in dental work. Because the family doesn’t have dental insurance, they would have to pay for the work themselves, so Lopez decided to get a second opinion.

Whitby, Ont., resident Melissa Lopez says she was surprised when she brought her daughter Elianna to a new dentist last year and was told the 10-year-old had nine cavities.

Another dentist in the area told her Elianna had fewer cavities, so Lopez decided to get the fillings completed at that clinic and said she didn’t notify the other dentist that she had made the switch.

In the hierarchy of water, from municipal to well to purchased, bottled water is generally heralded as the purest drinking water you can get. But is it really?

Often, the bottled water for which you pay a high premium is simply the same water you get from the tap, run through a purification process. In other words, it’s the same thing you could do with your faucet and a Big Berkey. (And if you add some special filters, you’ll be sure to get the fluoride out.)   Continue reading “Where Does Your Favorite Brand of Bottled Water Actually Come From?”
