The Daily Caller – by Neil Munro

President Barack Obama has quietly handed out an extra 5.46 million work permits for non-immigrant foreigners who arrived as tourists, students or illegal immigrants since 2009, according to federal documents released by a Freedom of Information Act request.

“The executive branch is operating a huge parallel work-authorization system outside the bounds of the [immigration] laws and limits written by Congress [and which] inevitably reduces job opportunities for Americans,” said Jessica Vaughan, the policy director at the Center for Immigration Studies, while filed the FOIA request.   Continue reading “Obama Quietly Adds 5.46 Million Foreigners To Economy”

In the world of small unit tactics training there’s a lot of good info out there regarding Immediate Action Drills (IAD) for the multitude of scenarios you might find yourself in. Unfortunately, some trainers like to say if it’s not “Their way”, it’s not a “Valid way”.  Along with that, there’s a lot of “Trainer worship” out there. It stands to reason that the inexperienced individuals (worshipers) looking to “That guy” as their guiding light, will probably lose out, simply because they discount the input of another trainer, because “That guy” says it ain’t so.    Continue reading “React To Ambush, “A WAY”, Not “THE WAY””

Short Lane Chamber Adapters Scavenger Kit - 12 GaugeAmmoLand – by Major Van Harl, USAF Ret

Wisconsin –-(Ammoland.com)-   I have an old Savage model 99, take-down rifle in 300 Savage and an extra 410 shotgun barrel to go with the rifle. When you use the 410 barrel you have to load and shoot the 99 as a single shot.

There are no good deals on 300 Savage ammo anymore, and it gets harder to find, but I still like to take the rifle/shotgun unit with me, because it breaks down so small for storage during transport.   Continue reading “Shooting 9mm Out Of A 410 Shotgun – It Is About Having The Right Tool”

The Nature Conservancy (TNC) calls itself “the leading conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people.” According to its website, TNC “addresses the most pressing conservation threats at the largest scale.”

So you might be surprised to learn that TNC is run and funded by some of the world’s worst polluters and destroyers of the earth’s soil, air, water and food system—and that one of those companies is Monsanto.   Continue reading “GMO Bedfellows: Monsanto And The Nature Conservancy”

Catherine Austin Fitts said 2015 will be a violent and volatile year. She is cautiously optimistic about 2015 compared to others except that she does see the potential for war. She sees severe problems after 2015.

I disagree. I see far more violence in the Central Banks and in the markets than I do on the flashpoints of the Ukraine and the ever expanding Israeli border. The Eurogroup chief whispered to Greek FinMin’s ear “You just killed the Troika” and then Varoufakis replied with a simple “WOW!”   Continue reading “Greeks Killed The Troika. As his first official step in a likely run for the White House, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has formed a political action committee to raise money, hire a staff and fund his campaign trips.

For New Jersey taxpayers, the bad news will be an increase in Christie’s out-of-state political sojourns and the cost of the state police protection details that travel with the governor.   Continue reading “Christie’s bid for White House will cost New Jersey taxpayers”

Addicted Married Ex-Cops Get Prison Time For Stealing PainkillersDel Mar-Carmel Valley Patch – by Kelly Wheeler

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Two married former San Diego police officers who broke into people’s homes while on duty and stole prescription painkillers to feed their drug addictions were each sentenced today to three years in state prison.

Far-right nationalists are planning a demonstration in a London borough next month to protest the alleged “Jewification of Great Britain.” Anti-fascist groups have pledged to deny marchers “an inch of our streets.”

The march, organized by British National Party-linked activist Joshua Bonehill-Paine, is called “Liberate Stamford Hill.

Bonehill-Paine is calling for a “fight back” against what he calls “Jewification and anti-white oppression” in the north London area.   Continue reading “‘Jewification of Great Britain’: Anti-Semitic protest planned in London”

Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro (Reuters/Carlos Garcia Rawlins)RT

The US is behind the attempted coup in Venezuela – that is the accusation President Nicolas Maduro has leveled amid widespread protests back home. And it’s none other than Vice-president Joe Biden who’s behind the entire operation, Maduro alleges.

This is the first time a direct accusation of this gravity was made in front of thousands of cheering spectators and the world at large, despite an earlier Friday statement, when Maduro struck out at several US federal agencies for allegedly plotting against Venezuela.   Continue reading “Maduro accuses Joe Biden of ‘bloody coup’ in Venezuela”

FAIR-Torture-Shrieking-Tree-600x400Foreign Policy in Focus – by Aldo Guerrero

When the Senate released its shocking report on CIA torture late last year, it renewed a debate from the Bush years about the merits of so-called “enhanced interrogation techniques.”

Polls released afterward suggested that most Americans thought that torture was effective and, in some cases, justified. Yet the report was very clear: Torture produced virtually no valuable intelligence.

So why did so many people get the wrong idea? One possible explanation is that they heard it over and over again on TV.   Continue reading “Enhanced Misinformation Techniques”

21st Century Wire

As 21WIRE reported last year, the White House’s new candidate for US Attorney General has a dubious record when it comes to ‘terrorism cases’. Our question: is she what the US needs now, or would she fit in better in a police state regime like China or Egypt?

As US Senate confirmation hearings resume Monday, President Barack Obama will be hoping to finally off-load some dead weight in AG Eric Holder, replacing him a new appointee to run the Department of Justice (DOJ).   Continue reading “DOJ Appointee Loretta Lynch is Key in Washington’s Phony War on Terror”

Assorted group of health care prescription drug pills or vitaminsFox News – by Dr. Jennifer Landa

Numerous studies in recent years have suggested that vitamins and supplements have no beneficial effect on your health. Some researchers have gone as far as to warn that popping them may be harmful.

But the fact is that most of us cannot get the vitamins and minerals we need from food alone, and multivitamins are vital to bridging that gap. According to a study published in the January 2015 edition of the Journal of the American College of Nutrition, roughly 40 percent of adults are deficient in vitamin A, C, D, E, calcium and magnesium. These findings suggest many people may not even have the nutrient levels they need to stave off disease— let alone thrive and live in optimal health. As I see it, everyone needs a multivitamin for disease prevention, and new research agrees.   Continue reading “Ending the multivitamin debate: Why taking one may actually save your life”

SEATTLE—On Wednesday, the Washington Technology Industry Association hosted the Seattle International Smart Gun Symposium, an event that King County Sheriff John Urquhart called the “first symposium I’ve heard of anywhere about this topic.” The hours-long series of panels invited lawmakers, smart gun industry representatives, and gun safety advocates to speak on the subject of “user authorized” guns—meaning firearms that can only discharge in the hands of pre-authorized owners.   Continue reading ““Nation’s first” smart gun symposium talks safety, risks, and delays”

Groundhog Day In IllinoisTime – by Jennifer Latson

Feb. 2, 1887: Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, holds its first Groundhog Day celebration

The first Groundhog Day celebration wasn’t such a picnic for Punxsutawney Phil’s progenitors. When Punxsutawneyans gathered on a hilltop known as Gobbler’s Knob on this day, Feb. 2, in 1887, they did so not just to celebrate the weather-forecasting wizardry of the groundhog — the rodent was also on the menu.   Continue reading “The Original Groundhog Day Involved Eating the Groundhog”

A federal judge angrily accused Justice Department attorneys in newly unsealed documents of “fraud upon the court” by intimidating a witness in a case involving a former Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent who alleges the agency trashed his reputation.

Judge Francis Allegra, who was appointed to the U.S. Court of Federal Claims in 1998 by President Bill Clinton, is presiding over a suit brought by former ATF agent Jay Dobyns against the government agency, which he claims retaliated against him and damaged his reputation. Dobyns infiltrated Hell’s Angels and worked on cases involving the Aryan Brotherhood and MS-13 during his law enforcement career.    Continue reading “Federal judge blasts DOJ lawyers in case of ATF whistle-blower”

Workers from the United Steelworkers (USW) union walk a picket line outside the Shell Oil Deer Park Refinery in Deer Park, Texas February 1, 2015.(Reuters / Richard Carson )RT

Workers at nine US oil refineries and chemical plants across four states, producing some 10 percent of the country’s fuel, went on strike after their union announced that negotiations on their salaries and safety concerns failed.

The mass walkout of refinery workers – the first since 1980 – took place on Sunday, after the United Steelworkers union (USW) rejected the fifth offer by the industry’s main negotiator, Royal Dutch Shell Plc, which in turn halted talks.   Continue reading “Workers on strike at 9 oil refineries producing 10% of US fuel”
