The floodgates are yet once again open as U.S. officials prepare to let 4,000 Cuban migrants into the country to stay.

However, this maneuver has drawn attention after it was reported by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection that the immigrants processing will be fast-tracked and will only take one hour, which is “faster than it takes many Americans to get a driver’s license or buy a gun,” Paul Bedard reported.   Continue reading “4,000 Cuban migrants to flood U.S. via Mexico, officials conducting only 1 hr background checks”

Montana state officials are not allowed to report the immigration status of people seeking state services, the state’s high court ruled on Tuesday.

In a unanimous decision, the court struck down the last piece of a voter-approved law meant to deter undocumented immigrants from living and working in the “Treasure State.” It upholds a 2014 ruling stating that the law denying unemployment benefits, university enrollment and other services to people who are in the country illegally was unconstitutional.   Continue reading “Montana court strikes down anti-immigrant law, allows undocumented to get services”

A new investigation reveals that Bill and Hillary Clinton took in at least $100 million from Middle East leaders. Can such a financially and ethically compromised candidate truly function as our nation’s leader?

The investigation by the Daily Caller News Foundation has uncovered a disturbing pattern of the Clintons’ raising money for the Clinton Foundation from regimes that have checkered records on human rights and that aren’t always operating in the best interests of the U.S. By the way, the $100 million we mentioned above doesn’t appear to include another $30 million given to the Clintons by two Mideast-based foundations and four billionaire Saudis.   Continue reading “Hillary’s Latest Scandal: She And Bill Siphoned $100 Mil From Mideast Leaders”

CONCORD, N.H. (May 12, 2016) – Last week, a New Hampshire Senate committee passed a bill that represents an important first step to reform and restrict asset forfeiture, but bowed to law enforcement pressure and amended out sections that would have removed “policing for profit” incentives from state law. The move by the committee reveals the power and aggressiveness of the law enforcement lobby.

Rep. Dan McGuire (R-Merrimack), along with 10 bipartisan legislators, introduced House Bill 636 (HB636) in January. The legislation would reform New Hampshire law by requiring a criminal conviction before prosecutors could proceed with asset forfeiture. Under the proposed law, prosecutors would also have to prove by clear and convincing evidence that the property was derived from, or used in, the commission of a crime. Under current law, the state can seize assets even if a person is never found guilty of a crime, or even arrested.   Continue reading “New Hampshire Asset Forfeiture Bill Unmasks Power of Police Lobby”

As Bitcoin’s mainstream moment began to wane, Anthony Di Iorio had already decided it was not the cryptocurrency but the blockchain technology behind it that had true revolutionary potential.

Di Iorio’s Bitcoin Decentral innovation hub in downtown Toronto generated buzz when it opened the city’s first Bitcoin ATM in early 2014. A few months later, the currency’s value plummeted, large exchanges filed for bankruptcy and its use in the black market dominated headlines.

“He can take his’n and beat your’n,” someone once said of Coach Bear Bryant, “and he can take your’n and beat his’n.” After the stunning House passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement on Wednesday, Bill Clinton deserves to have the same thing said of him.

The new president’s second big victory in Congress could not have been more dissimilar to his first, the narrow passage of the budget package back in August. That first win was accomplished without a single Republican vote; Wednesday’s victory was a bipartisan wonder, maneuvered through the House with Rep. Newt Gingrich riding shotgun. His’n and your’n, indeed. For Gingrich, who is seeking to establish his bona fides as minority leader-in-waiting, this was also a big win. But those Republicans who argued in advance of the vote that Gingrich’s prominent role demonstrated Clinton’s weakness were blowing smoke.   Continue reading “Flashback 1993: NAFTA Passage is Major Win for President – and Gingrich”

Political prisoner Cliven Bundy recently wrote a letter from jail. The letter, dated April 11, 2016, appealed to the US government and the American people to not let patriots and veterans who have served their country to rot in jail and trample upon the Constitution.

“It is your time to come forward – to defend and make right!” the letter began. “Two years ago tomorrow, the Bundy Ranch stood for liberty and freedom. Many stood with us, many prayed for us, and freedom won.”   Continue reading “Cliven Bundy Writes to America from Jail: Are You Going to Let Patriots and Veterans Stand Alone?”

Steve Hill in many ways is a typical candidate running for elected office in California. He’s a former U.S. Marine looking to reform public schools, reduce the state’s mass incarceration rates, and create jobs. But a couple things are holding him back: He’s an avowed atheist and Satanic Temple organizer.

Hill is a Democrat running for the state Senate in California’s 21st district, and probably the only candidate in the country who embraces both atheism and the tenets of modern-day Satanism. But Hill, who ran unsuccessfully as a write-in candidate last year during a special election, said this year he’s getting shunned by the Democratic establishment largely because of views the party believes are too extreme.
