Mankind has had a good innings: people have become physically stronger, average life expectancy has risen in almost all nations, global population has topped 7 billion. But now scientists have issued a dire warning – the only way is down.

The US decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital may become a “legitimate reason” to attack American troops in Iraq, Shia paramilitary group Harakat Hezbollah al Nujaba said.
“Trump’s stupid decision… will be the big spark for removing this entity [Israel] from the body of the Islamic nation, and a legitimate reason to target American forces,” said Akram al-Kaabi, the Iraqi organization’s leader, as cited by Reuters. GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) — A Michigan sports doctor is getting the first of three prison sentences that will likely keep him locked up for decades for assaulting female gymnasts and possessing child pornography.
Federal prosecutors are seeking a 60-year sentence Thursday for Larry Nassar, who had more than 37,000 images of child porn on electronic devices. Separately, he’ll be sentenced in state court in January for molesting gymnasts with his hands. Continue reading “Michigan sports doctor facing long sentence for child porn”
DENVER (AP) — A Colorado state lawmaker arrested at Denver International Airport had a loaded handgun in her bag that was discovered by an airport security officer, police said Wednesday. State Rep. Lori Saine “knowingly brought the handgun to the checkpoint” at the airport on Tuesday, according to a report written by Denver police officer Gregory Zimmerman. The report did not explain how he made that determination.
According to police, a Transportation Security Administration agent saw the Kahr Arms 9mm semi-automatic handgun when a bag belonging to Saine went through an X-ray machine, according to the arrest report. It had four rounds in its magazine but none in the chamber. Continue reading “Lawmaker says she accidentally brought gun to Denver airport”
WEB Notes: The DoD spent $7.4 billion dollars last year on big data and now this. No one is going to complain. If you follow the first link in this article it takes you to the TSA’s site and explains not only do you have the privilege of moving through a naked body scanner and be felt up by a government agent, you now have the option for a face and retina scan which will quickly set you on your way! How about that! To be a part of this “elite class” you pay a nominal fee (tax) of just $85 bucks for a 5 year membership…
This is just another money making machine for the government not to mention an invasion of our privacy and it makes me sick. Years ago people would have rebelled against this thought, but the frog in the pot is slowly simmering and does not realize it.

On December 6 the House of Representatives passed national reciprocity for concealed carry after well over an hour of debate, including a 15 minute vote resulting from a last-ditch effort to recommit national reciprocity to committee.
The effort to recommit to committee was a Democrat effort to derail the vote on national reciprocity. The vote to recommit failed by a margin of 236 to 190. Continue reading “National Reciprocity for Concealed Carry Passes House, Heads to Senate”
LEONIA ─ Residential streets that routinely clog with cars heading to the George Washington Bridge will soon be off-limits to traffic during rush hour.
The borough, situated less than 2 miles from the world’s busiest bridge, plans to shut down dozens of side streets to nonresidents by January in an effort to mitigate spillover traffic from highways and discourage drivers from seeking shortcuts through Leonia. Chinese New Year is February 16, 2018. China will refrain from launching new initiatives until after that date. But look out below.
By refusing to issue a waiver, Donald Trump has allowed the House and Senate desire to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capitol to come to fruition. This is the same House and Senate which had voted to allow lawyers to bleed Saudi Arabia dry for the 911 attacks that were in fact perpetrated by Israel with the aid of both the Republican and Democratic party leadership. It is dark in the workshop, but what light there is streams in patches through the windows. Cobwebs coat the wrenches, the cans of spray paint and the rungs of an old wooden chair where Matt Peters used to sit. A stereo plays country music, left on by the renter who now uses the shop.
“It smells so good in here,” I say. “Like …”
“Men, working,” finishes Ginnie Peters.
We inhale. “Yes.” Continue reading “Why are America’s farmers killing themselves in record numbers?”
MADISON (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker moved ahead Monday with his plans to make Wisconsin the first state to drug test able-bodied adults applying for food stamps, a move blocked by the federal government or found to be unconstitutional when other states have tried.
Wisconsin’s plan was approved by the Republican-controlled Legislature more than two years ago, but it languished because it conflicts with federal rules prohibiting states from imposing additional eligibility criteria on food stamp recipients. As the United States Constitution continues to become nothing more than a dated piece of paper in the eyes of the left, the federal government continues to grow, spreading like a plague and infecting virtually every institution in American society. Sadly, America’s education system is no exception.
The liberal state of California recently passed a law requiring trade schools to deny admission to students that have not completed high school or a state-approved equivalent, meaning that the government ultimately has the final say over what young people learn and what they don’t learn. Continue reading “INSANE: California government criminalizes teaching of trade skills to youth… all “education” must be government approved”
