Canada’s food regulator has found traces of the controversial herbicide glyphosate in nearly 30 per cent of about 3,200 food products it tested, and residue levels above the acceptable limits in 1.3 per cent of the samples.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s report on testing of glyphosate is titled “Safeguarding with Science: Glyphosate Testing in 2015-2016, and was published on its website this week. Glyphosate.is used to kill weeds, but can also be used to dry grains and legumes before they’re harvested.   Continue reading “Nearly a third of food samples in CFIA testing contain glyphosate residues”

Free Thought Project – by Matt Agorist

Weslaco, TX — Americans, it seems, are increasingly becoming desensitized to police violence — to the point that unarmed fathers being gunned down in front of their children barely registers as a blip on the nightly news radar. According to newspaper editors, however, “stories about animal abuse often generate more responses from upset readers than articles about violence directed toward humans.” Reports from police agencies support the claim thatshooting a dog brings more heat down on an agency than an officer-involved shooting of a human.”

In the latest escalation over what may be an imminent preemptive airstrike on North Korea by US warships now located just 300 miles away from the North Korean nuclear test site, moments ago China’s national airline, Air China, announced it was suspending flights from Beijing to the North Korean capital, Pyongyang, from late on Friday, Chinese state broadcaster CCTV said. It did not say why the flights, which operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, were being suspended.   Continue reading “Air China Suspends Flights To North Korea As Kim Vows “Merciless Response To Any US Provocation””

Former chairwoman of the Federal Election Commission Ann Ravel recently spoke at an event at UC Berkeley titled “Future of Democracy” where she discussed the possible need for regulating political speech and ads on social media.

Ravel, who has previously called for regulation of political websites such as The Drudge Report, stated that without regulation of the internet and digital platforms, the role of the FEC will essentially become obsolete as the FEC focuses mainly on TV and radio content.  Continue reading “Former FEC Chairwoman Suggests Regulating Political Speech on Social Media”

This is a recipe handed down to me by my mom. It’s been in my family since I was a kid (back when dirt was new). I’ve tweaked it slightly to my own satisfaction, but will also provide the original specs. I’ve yet to come across a store-bought cookie that equals them.   Continue reading “Awesome No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies”

If an all-out war erupts, it will be like nothing the Earth has seen before. All of our “progress” means that each side now has the weapons at their disposal to destroy their enemy many times over. Because of this, we can’t as readily look back in history to learn how to survive World War 3.

Most of the time, when I write an article, it’s based on research or personal experience. I can find times when the incident has occurred in the past and study them. I can learn what catastrophes came hand-in-hand, and analyze what we need to know ahead of time to survive. The potential of a conflict like WWIII is quite different because, during the last World War, our technology was a drop in the bucket compared to what is now available. The situation we have now is called MAD – Mutually Assured Destruction – and the acronym couldn’t be any more accurate because it’s utter madness to destroy our world.  Continue reading “How to Survive World War 3: Prepping for an Off-Shore Conflict”

A top North Korean official is threatening a preemptive strike against the U.S. if his nation believes America is taking “reckless” military action.

Vice Minister Han Song Ryol on Friday told The Associated Press that President Trump’s tweets are part of a “vicious cycle” of escalated tensions in the region, adding that North Korea will continue to stockpile more nuclear warheads and improve on the country’s nuclear program.   Continue reading “North Korean official warns of preemptive strike of its own”

MILWAUKEE — The Wisconsin man who sent a manifesto to the president earlier this month was taken into custody early Friday in western Wisconsin, law enforcement officials said.

Joseph Jakubowski was arrested just before 6 a.m. CT on Friday after he was found camping on a farmer’s property near Readstown, Wis., in Vernon County. The farmer filed a suspicious complaint saying a man “matching the description of Jakubowski was camping at that location and refused to leave when he had been asked to do so,” the Rock County (Wis.) Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.   Continue reading “Joseph Jakubowski, manhunt suspect who sent manifesto to Trump, captured in Wisconsin”

Because the Obama administration quietly announced their plans for 3,400-plus new regulations last week just after Ferguson erupted and just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday, a lot of what’s actually going on in that rather long list was already lost and forgotten pretty much the moment it was released.

One regulation worth mentioning has to do with rotavirus vaccines and a condition called intussusception.    Continue reading “Gov’t Admits Rotavirus Vaccine Causes Intussusception, Adds It to Injury Compensation Program”

Guns America – by Jordan Michaels

Over 500 firearms have been returned to a California FFL dealer and his family after a lengthy battle with the California Department of Justice (DOJ).

Fresno County Superior Court Judge Jonathan Conklin ordered in December that the guns be turned over to the Fresno firearms dealer on behalf of the family. The state has since complied with that order.   Continue reading “Justice Prevails: California DOJ Forced to Return 500+ Guns to FFL Dealer”
