A new report prepared by reserve Maj. Gen. Yitzhak Brik, the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) commissioner for the rights of IDF soldiers, has become the topic of sensational discussions in Israel.

The American Civil War ended on a random battlefield in Central Virginia in April 1865. The conflict which raged for half-a-decade had cost both sides far more than either could have imagined in the days leading up to the war and left deep and bitter wounds which are still visible today.
Interestingly, many of the young men who had fault alongside Generals Lee, Grant and Stonewall Jackson during this horrific conflict were only in their 50s when the first Model T Fords began driving off the assembly line. RALEIGH, North Carolina — A teenage girl drew upon gun training from her late father to fatally shoot an abusive boyfriend who was strangling her mother earlier this month in North Carolina, a prosecutor said Friday.
Steven Kelley, 46, was found dead by deputies who responded Aug. 8 to a call about a shooting at the house in the North Carolina foothills west of Charlotte, authorities said. He was shot twice and killed by his girlfriend’s 15-year-old daughter after he attacked the woman and threatened to kill her and her three children in the home they all shared, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office said. A Thurston County Superior Court judge sided with the NRA and Second Amendment Foundation against a gun-control ballot initiative in the state of Washington.
On July 3, Breitbart News reported that the initiative, I-1639, was being presented as a simple attempt to raise the legal age for long gun purchases from 18 to 21. Although an attempt to disqualify 18- to 20-year-olds from exercising their Second Amendments is troubling enough, the reality of the matter is that I-1639 would have put in place a new system of background checks and myriad other guns controls as well. A recent spate of shootings is driving a swelling chorus of calls for a handgun ban — but the nation’s top Mountie says she isn’t convinced it’s the answer.
On Monday, Montreal’s city council will debate whether to push for a federal ban on handguns. The motion before council calls on Montreal to demand the Liberal government ramp up the restrictions in its Bill C-71, tabled last March, by prohibiting civilians from possessing assault rifles and handguns. REDDING (KPIX 5) — Recently released video from Cal Fire shows the most intense tornado ever in California history that trapped and killed a firefighter in Redding last month.
37-year-old Jeremiah “Jeremy” Stoke was a longtime Redding Fire Department veteran. According to Cal fire, on July 26th, he was driving his truck in northwest Redding and helping evacuate residents from the Carr Fire when he got into trouble. The Doubs river flows normally in Franche-Comté, France. But since about a week or so, the river has totally dried up over a length of more than 1 km, between Pontarlier and Morteau, although precipitation has been abundant this winter and spring. The river has disappeared, and with it, the fauna and flora. Everything is dead. Two weeks ago, 13km of the Risle River in Normandy also disappeared underground in a large crater. According to geologists, this unprecedented event is due to large cracks and craters in the riverbed. A Florida judge recently proclaimed her right to decide what a newspaper publishes amid the South Florida Sun-Sentinel’s decision to publish a redacted report on Nikolas Cruz, the perpetrator of the Parkland school shooting in February.
The outlet obtained a redacted version of the report documents from the school district detailing what school officials knew about him in the years leading up to the attack. The report, however, was mostly redacted pursuant to a court order, but reporters discovered that by copying and pasting it into a different document, they could see the entirety of its contents. San Bernardino, CA — Once again, a cop’s fear of a dog has put others in harm’s way, and, once again, an innocent person was hurt. This time, an 11-year-old boy was struck by a police officer’s bullet when the officer was attempting to kill his dog.
This week, a deputy from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department was responding to a call over a possible disturbance at a home. When the deputy knocked on the door, the 11-year-old boy answered and—like most dogs in the world do when they hear a knock at the door—his pup ran out.
