Florida police have released dramatic bodycam footage of their gun battle with a suspect at the Trump National Doral Golf Club Friday.

A self-proclaimed “highly competent surgeon” in Atlanta is facing several lawsuits for malpractice after posting YouTube videos of her singing and dancing over her unconscious patients.
According to WSB-TV Atlanta, one of the lawsuits filed against Dr. Windell Davis Boutte accuses her of causing her patient permanent brain damage after performing a liposuction in 2016. The 26-year-old son of the patient said his mother, Icilma Cornelius, underwent the procedure ahead of her upcoming wedding, but never got a chance to wear a wedding dress. ATLANTA (AP) — If you want to know where mass school shootings are most likely to occur, look no farther than small-town and suburban America. The massacre that killed 10 people at a high school in Texas last week was just the latest to happen in a small or suburban city. Of the 10 deadliest school shootings in the U.S., all but one took place in a town with fewer than 75,000 residents and the vast majority of them were in cities with fewer than 50,000 people. NEW YORK (AP) — Energized by the #MeToo movement, two national advocacy groups are teaming up to lodge sexual harassment complaints against McDonald’s on behalf of 10 women who have worked at the fast food restaurant in nine cities.
The workers — one of them a 15-year-old from St. Louis — alleged groping, propositions for sex, indecent exposure and lewd comments by supervisors. According to their complaints, when the women reported the harassment, they were ignored or mocked, and in some cases suffered retaliation. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) declared on Saturday that he backs the “real” Second Amendment, rather than an “imaginary” version of the provision that he says is touted by gun rights advocates.
“I support the real 2nd Amendment, not the imaginary 2nd Amendment,” Murphy tweeted. “And the real #2A isn’t absolute. California could become the first state in the nation to offer full health coverage to undocumented adults.

HOOD RIVER, Ore. (AP) — A teenager who started a major wildfire in the scenic Columbia River Gorge in Oregon has been ordered to pay restitution for at least the next decade, though it’s unlikely the boy will ever cover his nearly $37 million bill.
The Oregonian reports that Hood River County Circuit Judge John A. Olson issued the opinion on Monday, awarding the restitution totaling $36,618,330.24 to cover the costs of firefighting, repair and restoration to the gorge and damage to homes. GOP leaders are trying to get a DACA amnesty through the House, and are trying to negotiate a “third alternative” bill with President Donald Trump, House Whip Steve Scalise told a Fox TV interviewer on Sunday.

A police officer with the Virginia Beach Police Department recently issued a $100 ticket to a driver who was smoking a cigarette with a child in the car.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California lawmakers took steps Monday to let school employees ask judges to temporarily strip gun rights from potentially dangerous people in the wake of a mass school shooting in Texas.
California is already one of a handful of states that allow immediate family members and law enforcement officials to request gun violence restraining orders against people who show warning signs of violence. In the wake of recent tragic school shootings, anxious parents are contemplating homeschooling to protect their children. After February’s school shooting in Parkland, Florida, the Miami Herald reportedthat more parents were considering the homeschooling option. And after Friday’s disturbing school shooting in Sante Fe, Texas, a local ABC news affiliate in Alabama reported the increasing appeal of homeschooling.
“If I had the time, I would teach my kids myself, and I would know that they’re safe,” a father of four told ABC station, WAAY31. A public school teacher interviewed by the channel disagreed with the idea of homeschooling. An investigation into the activities of the Houston Police Department is reportedly underway following the release of a video that revealed an officer ordering a woman to put her hands up “like we’re going to shoot you” during a traffic stop involving three additional individuals.
In the video, a police officer officer using a loudspeaker can be heard shouting “Hands up! Put your hands up! Over your head! Pretend like we’re going to shoot you!” at a woman during the encounter.
