In recent decades, cities and states throughout the country have been slowly and silently criminalizing saggy pants. A new bill proposed in the South Carolina will threaten fines for anyone who has pants that hang more than three inches below the waistline, even if their skin is not exposed.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Maryland’s ban on 45 kinds of assault weapons and its 10-round limit on gun magazines were upheld Tuesday by a federal appeals court in a decision that met with a strongly worded dissent.

In a 10-4 ruling, the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia, said the guns banned under Maryland’s law aren’t protected by the Second Amendment.

“Put simply, we have no power to extend Second Amendment protections to weapons of war,” Judge Robert King wrote for the court, adding that the Supreme Court’s decision in District of Columbia v. Trump also reiterated his support for training members of school staffs to carry concealed weapons:

“A teacher would have shot the hell out of him before he knew what happened,”

A man armed with a hunting knife stabbed a woman to death Saturday inside a public library in Massachusetts, authorities said.

When police arrived, they found that an elderly man also had been stabbed, Boston’s Fox 25 reported.

Sun Microsystems co-founder, Vinod Khosla, wants to keep all the sun to himself along Martins Beach near Half Moon Bay where his estate is located.

In the wake of the Parkland, Fla. school shootings last week, Democrats in the Maine Legislature are hoping to introduce a number of last-minute gun control bills next week, including a ban on “bump stocks,” devices that are used to boost the performance of semiautomatic rifles. However, one Republican leader says it’s too late in the session to take up such major legislation.

Leaders from both parties will meet next Tuesday to decide which, if any “after deadline” bills they will allow for consideration this session. Raising rent prices and low wages have resulted in thousands of people across the city of Los Angeles becoming homeless, many of them now living in cars and RVs if they were able to keep it together that well.

According to the most recent counts by the KPCC, there are at least 7,000 people live in their cars in Los Angeles.

Organizers of a rally against mass shootings planned for next month in Washington are expecting up to 500,000 attendees, according to an event permit application.

The application filed this week with the National Park Service indicates the “March for Our Lives” will be March 24, although a location hasn’t been determined.
